Some information before we get into the log. This is a PvP fight, so damage will be 75% of real damage. Also, apparently damage displayed in chat to observers is non-adjusted values.
The person doing the damage to the probot said hewas reporting less damage to the probot than what I was seeing. This means observers see non-adjusted values. I am unsure if this not only includes the PvP reduction of 75%, but also the armor adjustments.
We'll have to test this more for specifics with armored and non-armored probots.
Another thing isthis test includes damage to all bars on the HAM. There was no way I could distinguish between the three types of damage.
Another thing we could do I suppose is to have someone use a big-time damage special that effects a specific HAM bar only. D'oh! I should have thought of that before I posted this.
The log shows total damage taken by the probot (from my viewpoint as a non combatant) as being 11565. Keep in mind I may have missed a few hits or added a few hits because I did this by hand with children screaming in my ear for food, drink, or something silly kids are always screaming about. It is, however as accurate as I can get it within 100-200 points of damage.

Also, can someone figure out the PvP and Armor reductions?

Umm if that's the formula you used then you're calculations are wrong.
Lets say something hit your probot for 200 damage. The 50% reduction would take the damage down to 100 and then 40% resists would take you down to 60 damage. You can't just add up the 50 and 40% to arrive at the end result.
*This is all dependant on the fact that your original idea of medium reducing 50% and then the 40% resists being correct, I'm not sure if it is*
I just read the Advanced Armor Guide located here.
According to the information there, a probot with Medium Armor 40% and 820 HAM can take2583 points of non-armor piercing damage.
My formula
a= 820 + 50% (1230) [Light Armor Adjustment]
b= a + 50% (1845) [Medium Armor Adjustment]
c = b + 40% (2583) [Resists Adjustments]
This still does not account for the 11k of damage in the log, as the probot ended up with about 20% Mind damage, 40% Action damage, and 100% Health damage showing on his HAM bars.
Or do I need to go back to school and learn mathematics again?

The way I understand it is armor provides a reduction in damage. You are adding to the HAM.
1000 points of non-ARP damage times50% for light is 500 times50% for medium is 250 times40% for resists is 100.
Yes, I added it to the base 820 HAM because that is effectively what the armor is doing... adding a buffer before it gets to the real HAM.
Same thing as what you are saying to do, but in reverse so you get a total in damage this specific probot would be able to take.

Something is amiss. It may be my math, but I have a sneaky suspicion all the cards are not on the table.
I see how you got the 10% net NAP damage. That is correct according to the advanced armor guide.
So 8240 damage in ONE HAM bar would have incapacitated this probot. The damage is spread over 3 bars so it's not as obvious.
Someone slap me with a brick for being so simple-minded.
I calculate 0.5 * 0.5 * (1 - 0.4) = 0.15
The 40% resistance means 40% get blocked and 60% get through. So in the end 15% of the initial damage get trough the armor and are subtracted from the HAM. Correct me if I am wrong...
Sigh you guys doing multiple math equations makes my brian hurt. There is only one way. not sure if mine is right but I'm pretty damm sure. Say you take 200 points.
200X 0.5 is 100
100X 0.5 is 50
50 X 0.6 = 30 So you took 30 points. this is NOT 10%.
To be completely technical its .5 X .5 X .6 Which is 15%. 15% is the ammount of the total damage taken.
For those of you that like looking at the reverse numbers. Meaning the HAM equivilent.
824divided by 0.15 = 5493.33
Anyway. Just so EVERYONE knows.
Rock beatle is AR 1 25% so at 2200 ham that is 37.5% dmg so its 5866.66 equivlent ham.
Cowardly Gurreck is 10% kenetic so its 3555.55 vs kinetic and 25% energy is 4266.66.
There are several other pets I sell that are 20% but 2700 ham which works out to 3375.
So in reality Gurrecks sux ass if you asked me. They die faster so even if they do better dmg the beatle or probot doing less dmg but for longer time might catch the gurrecks total dmg. The only advantage to a Gurreck is they run faster thus in PvP they close the gap and acutaly hit the target. PvE they blow.
To summ this up a good probot with med module and a crafting stations + a rock beatle is by FAR the mathmaticaly best setup for pets. If your 100% sure you will fight monsters most of the time that do only kinetic then get a Mtn Krevol they are AR1 30% kinetic but like 10-15% energy.
One other sumation Rock Beatle > Probot > Gurreck.
BTW the 75% takedown does not apply to player-on-pet or pet-on-player. The 75% adjustment applies only to player-on-player damage.
Likewise the difference in observed damage has to do with seeing the damage numbers calculated before or after the armor offset. AFAIK observers see the "pre-armor" numbers, while actual participants see "post-armor" numbers.
