Thread: DE inflation?

With the flood of new players, fix of bh droids.. alot of new people are coming to the proffession


And ive noticed that with the help of clueless buyers they are getting between 100-200k for a droid?


I dont know what the general rate for droids are on other servers.. but has anyone else noticed this lately?

Never sold a droid (other than boombots) for more than 20k. Of course the new stack sizes for seekers/arakyds mean more per crate, but not regular droids. I'll be starting to make and sell them again now they're working, we'll see how they sell I guess

IM a D.E. on wanderhome server. i sell my droids for about 50k...(R3 unit w/ 6 modules) of course more for the B.L.L.My Bounty Hunter droids have gone up in price because that's the only thing people want right now. im selling seekers for around 30k-40k for a crate of 10 and people still buy them. How mutch will a B.H. make with 10 droids?....my point being that if nobody wanted seekers you would see a drop in there prices.

It all depends on the server. On mine, our ProBots and any R3 go for well over 100k. I sell crates of 25 Seeker for 200k, and Arakyd's for 225k. I sell at least a dozenevery day. Oddly enough, det droids are less expensive. They are consumable, and have less intrinsic value than a permanent ProBot. But I still charge between 90k and 150k for R3 det droids, and about 10k per MSE.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

It's more like Droids are catching up to everything else. Go to your trade forums and see the amounts of cash people are throwing around. It's about time.

Why are Droid Engineers so afraid to charge for their product?


When I see Level 5 Astromechs going for 1200 credits, it hurts my heart. The sticky at the top of the forum is right. We are our own worst enemies when it comes to pricing. People who pay 100K+ for a Droid are not clueless. They understand the value of our product. It is the Droid Engineer who sells an Astromech for 1200 credits who is clueless!


Droids are usefull, permanent and don't degrade. Don't be afraid to charge for them!

Ultimatly, it depends on the server economy, your marketing position and what you feel is a reasonable price. I think I tend to be middle-of-the-road in pricing on my server, but my prices have not changed much since I started playing, and I still sell product, so I'm comfortable with it.

Thanks Xrystal.. your post has made realise I should hang up the dancing shoes, oversize belt, chunky medallion and the gold infiltrator suit (don't ask, just don't ask ) and get back to making droids for a while

Think I'm selling myself short on BH Droids though, no wonder mine have been flying off the shelves @ 60k a crate of 25

Exactly. If people are selling loot for millions, then give me my 25k for a crate with 5 BH droids in it. Well worth every credit.

I have made a habit of buying these and reselling them. It saves me time and resources.
