Ive always used my own droid crafting station, never invested in a big ugly expensive house model. How does the droid station lineup with the permenant ones Rating system?

I don't know. I know the permanent ones go as high as +63. I seriously doubt the Droid ones go anywhere near that number, I'm guessing +14 at the most.

+63 ??????

Best I ever saw was +44. I seriously doubt +63 is possible...but if you say so

Me and my R3 never used a home based craft station, and until proven otherwise, we never will. For myself, I think the + xx rating on architect stations is just a good way to rip off people. Me and my droid craft station do just fine.

I would enjoy reading something proving me wrong in this, but I doubt we will ever see proven evidence.

The ratings can't be compared. Worse, there's no concrete evidence that a high quality (+43.xx) Architect Crafting Station is any better than a medium quality (+25 or so) station or even a bad one (-10).

Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that Droid Crafting Stations are at least as good as high quality Architect Crafting Stations. As a minimum, there's absolutely no difference between a -10 Droid Crafting Station and a +15 Droid Crafting Station.

I have one just for a cool piece of furniture and so I can have an advo droid out and still experiment and the crib.

Mine is a +61.xxxxx something, so yeh, they can go that high.

And the only thing I have noticed with the higher ones are the schematics you can get. I can go use my +14 station and only use half my schematics, or use my +61 and see all my schematics. Plus I haven't had a crit in forever on it. My Architect friend noticed the same thing with his schematics.

Btw, this same friend made a Food/Chemical station last night. We used to easily make +60 stations before. Last night he could only max out at +28, and the only thing we did different was the Droid Storage Compartments. So, after seeing how much one item can affect the overall outcome, I can see why Arkies are so upset at them changing the schematic for Compartments.

But c'est la vie.

the rating on a station has nothing to do with the schematics you can access... if its private its private and you can use all schematics for the "tool" that the station was designed for

+61? I'm sorry but that just can't be true. Screenshots if you want anyone to belive you.

99% Experimentation is a 43-44+ station, so 100% is probably 45.

They have their advantages and disadvantages...

Big one doesn't move with you, if you want to go sell in coronet, the one in your house won't help you much.

But the big one doesn't run out of batteries.

Regardless of whether the quality is better or not, there is no honest way to tell if a droids functionality in its crafting station will be any good.

We get ratings of negative 10 through positive 10. *shrugs* How those compare to crafting stations an architect makes, who knows. As with all other modules, I doubt experimentation has any effect, positive or negative, on a crafting station in a droid.

An armor module will come out the same no matter how good or bad it is experimented.

An item storage module will always hold 10, even if you get a 14 rating.

A medical module is always 110 rating, even if you get it up to 140 rating in the experimentation phase.

Again, *shrugs* Hopefully we will see the change in our revamp

This was back then man, when these were fairly common. On the screenshots, I'm not gonna take the time out of my already busy schedule to prove a moot point.

The formula was something like you had to experiment ALL the components to at least 88%, which meant that you had to have the best of everything. Then you had to get something like 91% on the final combine, and use I think over 980 conductivity resources in the final station. I could be wrong since this was back in October.

And on the schematics vs. crafting station, there have been a few people tell me they have seen the same thing with schematics showing up. So until it comes from the horse's mouth (SOE), I know what happened to me when I tested it by putting a +14 down and using it. So if it works for me then I believe it. If SOE states I'm wrong, then I will no longer offer that part of help anymore in my own experiments.

Ok I drudged this up from waaaaaay back, so here it is. Of course, like I said, last night we were only able to make a +28 now, so I doubt you can get +60 anymore...

Ok here is the recipe...as far as I know.

First, ALL components must be experimented to at least 90% effectiveness.

Second, when you make the actual crafting station, your metals must have as high a conductivity as you can get, at least 900.

Okies Puck..I never suggested you were being untruthful..just that I had never seen one at +66.

On the subjuct of Schematics showing up..when I started DE way back in July I had a -3 personal craft station I bought off the bazaar on Chilastra (those were the days..not) and I know for a certain fact that all the schematics showed up..so if you say different I'd say it was conflicting craft stations at work..or one of the unexpected 'features (tm)' in the game.

For the record my R3 crit fails very close to 1 in 150...thats good enough for me.

*edit typo*

Cheers

PS so far as I know, the DSC only affects a station's rating by a max of 5%..but again I may be wrong, got this number from the Archie Forum
