Thread: Droid Vs Architect Crafting Stations
Thank you Drashk for clearing that up. I could be wrong. I admit I haven't looked at my station's rating in a long time, but I could swear it was 61. But, that's something to put on my to-do list tonite.
Ok I'll be the first to call myself a dumbass. I don't usually get so self-defensive but I was sure I was right and I wasn't. The station is +41, not +61. ![]()
My bad. Guess my memory isn't what it used to be. <goes to hide in corner>

With all due respect: Being that you're the DE Correspondent, do you think you can get a straight answer from SOE for us on the comparability of Architect crafting stations and DE crafting stations? It sure would be useful to tell customers instead of "I dunno".
I've already put this question out there, but I'm 95% sure that I am correct on this one. As I stated, the Functionality rating wasn't added to the Private Stations until a few months after release. Since most of the Droid issues have gone untouched, it would stand to reason that the Droid Crafting stations would follow suit. I've run a few tests over the months to try and find some correlation between a Droid station and a Private Station but could never find any numbers that could conclusively shine a light one way or another. I have always told my customers that the Droid Crafting Station is at least as good as a 30.xx rated Private Crafting station. Many months back, when 34.xx was the top of the Crafting Station food chain on Shadowfire, I challenged many different crafters, of good standing in the community, to test out one of my droids against my very best Private Crafting Station. Out of about 50 different crafters, who were allconsidered be to the best in thier given profession on SF, approximately15-20% felt that the Droid out performed the Private Station.More than 50%of those that took me up on the challenge stated that no matter the rating, the Droid won hands down simplydue toits mobility.
this isnt totally relevant but it too late now...
...i have an private weapon droid general crafting station, and if i use my weapon droid tool, and select chemical, i can experiment on stims and wound packs useing the incorrect station. works well to.
i was about to buy a chem station and thought i would just give it a try.

When you say that you acheived a rating of 4, what was the Conductivity of the resource being used? It sounds to me like you were using a resource with Conductivity of about 600.
Ok, this is a good place to ask this question:
This weekend on Lowca, I crafted two standing crafting stations. (I am a M. Art., M. Arch, and M. DE) I had some very good materials and got it up to 99% both times. However, the stations effective rating was 4.x!!!!
Have they changed the station ratings to make them comparable with Droid stations?
I had a customer wating, he cancelled the deal, and i didn't blame him. How could he trust these stations? Was this a random bug, or was this part of the last publish? Has anyone else made a standing crafting station recently? I have seen no mention of this in the Arch forums.

In order to get the highest rating possible you must use highly experimented Control units, Microsensors, and Droid Storage Compartments. Only worry about the Effectiveness when experimenting. As I stated earlier, 98% Control units, 100% DSCs, 89% Microsensors, and 999 Conductivity Copper will yield a Functionality rating of about 43. (42.61 is one of the highest ratings that I have ever personally seen.)
The rating that you see on a droid station is the Mechanism rating on all Droid parts.
