Thread: Probot Update from Test Center....
Well, it would look like the Probots have seen a bit of a change this patch. I just made Blueprints 3 and decided to build my first Probot. I build the Probot and get the normal 810 HAM when I finish experimenting on it.
I open my inventory and 'Tame' the deed and start programming the commands. So, I open up the datapad and look at the new commands function on the radial, which brings up a pop up window that has all of the commands listed in it.
I start to close the datapad window when I notice that my basic model Probot is listed as Difficuly Level 10 and not the normal 16 that I have grown so used to seeing. Low and behold 7 lines later I noticed the other change that the Probots have had..... 60 to 80 damage.
So, I decided to take my new found friend out into the wilds and test out the damage and besides the fact that Light 12% armor is really horrid, the Probot was actuallycausing damage like it is listed in the datapad. I'll be working on Blueprints 4 this weekend, as well as Construction, so that I can get my Medium 40% armor. I'll give an update once I can build Advanced Probots.
The changes made to the Probot are promising though ![]()
By the way, the patch notes listing on Fixed bug where probot reassembles after being destroyed. Is refering to the animation for all incapped Probots. Instead of the Probot instantly re-assembling, it will now lay there in peices until it is stored back in the datapad.
I'm still working on finding out about this one...Added protocol droid combat animations
Well, my Test Center Droid Engineer is now 3/0/0/4 and I made my first Advanced Probot, in order to check out the new stats. I made an Advanced Probot for myself with 2 Level 1 Armor plates. I used some Fiberplast with 620 UT and 873 SR in the final build process and used my two whole experimentation points to see if I couldhave aneffect on the droid. Well I had a Moderate Failure on the final build and ended up with an Experimental Effectiveness of 3%.
Here are the stats for the First TC Advanced Probot that I built...
Difficult Level 10
Health 819
Action 819
Mind 819
Attack Speed 2.44
To Hit 0.21
Damage 60 - 80 (69 - 85)
I built a second Advanced Probot, in hopes of seeing a Difference, however I had the same wonderful luck on the final combination and produced the same results, with the exception of the attack speed, which turned out to be 2.45 this time around.
On the third and final attempt, since I have almost run out of materials, ended with a result of an Experimental Effectiveness of 20%. Here are the stats for this Droid...
Difficult Level 10
Health 820
Action 820
Mind 820
Attack Speed 2.44
To Hit 0.21
Damage 70 - 80 (70 - 85)
Will note that the minimum base damage increased 10 points from this build to the first build, It appears that experimentation is having a marked improvement on the damage values of the Probot, but might come at a price. All three times I attempted to make the Advanced Probot with 2 Level 1 Armor plates and all three times I have ended up with Light 12% Armor. My next skilsl that I plan on increasingare inthe Construction tree. I am going to shoot for Level 3 or 4 Armor tomorrow, in order to see if the armor stacking has in deed been removed.
One more item that needs to be listed, since it has a rather large impact on Droid owners, as well as any pet owners. All Droids/Perks/Pets are auto-storing at an approximate distance or 75-90 meters. I've only tested the sit command so far, but after I reach a distance or 75 meters, my droid auto-stored.
I'll keep you updated as I progress in skills and get a factory so that I can produce Advance Droid Brains
Thanks for keeping us updated Drashk. Looks like I might have to start grinding up the experimentation tree..

You know what? Everyone will likely need to get rid of their 'pre-buff' probots to get new ones, I'm almost certain of it.. The exising droids will retain their effectively non-experimented stats, and new ones will suddenly have market valuation changes based (at least) on damage.
Does anyone else find it odd that our Droid Engineering Correspondent Sintrosi isn't doing this sort of 'testing' and providing this type of information to the DE public?
I've made a DZ70, only dedicated to advertising people ( his name looks like " Tell-Elixatha-ForDroid" ). So with this autostore, i can destroy it. And in this case, what happends to the command like "patrol" "get patrol point" and "clear patrol point" ? It makes no sense if theses commands are always available. It seems that a devs talked about keeping theses commands, should i understand that decision were necessary ? i don't think so, it's just another nerf...
I've never posted here, i'm master DE on Kauri and working on the DE profession since the release of SWG. I've always shut my mouth after nerfs and bugs, believing in a brighter day for us. I'm sure all the upcoming changes for us will be interresting, but i'm very disappointed with this change

PS : sorry for my poor english speaking.
The old level 16 probots may be fixable with the "pet level adjustment" tool the devs described.
