Thread: Another MDE down
the vendor bug that creeped on us these past few days are indeed a huge game breaker for many artisans. I lost a couple dozen droids in my vendor. Im not even gona put in a ticket because thats more of a headache for me having to compile a list of things that are gone.
Many people dont read the forums.. so what Ive done is email in game personally to all my artisan friends to make sure people be careful about this bug. Everyone should do the same, or else each day more and more people are going to call it quits.
I was just trolling these forums and couldnt help but notice this post.
You know what is really stupid? I withdrew some crappy medpacks from my vendor about 5 days ago... and they are STILL in the stockroom.
Seems as though some people lose everything, while others can't lose stuff even if we try.
This game is so bugged it's just insane.

Itmes dissapear on the 7th day so keep watching...
You sound surprised that you lost items due to a bug? I guess you haven't been playing since launch.
Sorry to make light of the situation, it's just that nothing surprises me anymore. I checked the patch notes for the "next big patch" since Droid Engineer changes were supposed to be on it...*surprise surprise* we've been pushed back another month.
I no longer expect things to work. The only things I expect are these;
- Credit card billed every month
- I will not become a Jedi
- Droid Engineers will always be broken
- The SOE forums will always be plagued with whiners and quiters
- CSRs will never actually help anyone
- Exploiters will always prosper
- Chicago will always be windy, cold, rainy, or all the the above
- I will be flamed for this message
Oh well, I have learned lots of humerous lessons from the CSR team:
1.) Don't use any container in the game. Not even your personal inventory. They are all not for storing things. If your inventory disappears it's noone's fault but your own.
2.) Pets were designed to stop on server boundries. Noone can fix it because the problem is non-existant, it's supposed to be that way!
3.) DE's are supposed to be a poppers profession. No money, no glory, no self support. It can't be fixed because the problem is non-existant, it's supposed to be that way!
4.) Life isn't fair. However if it's unfair in your favour, then we have a problem.
5.) SOE is god, I am lucky they do not banish my soul to the underworld for daring to defy them!
6.) Genaric template for every other problem: [Problem here] cannot be fixed because the problem is non-existant, it's supposed to be that way!
Sorry for making light of these bugs, but it's the only thing I can think of to do, heh.
this sounds like the time i lost ALL of my items on me about a month after release. You know as an artisan/DE, we carry a lot. EVERYTHING was gone that was on me. I'm still waiting on an answer to my trouble ticket.
/emote waits a little longer
*sarcasm off*
It happens to all of us. 600 crates of seekers + arakyd's, several dozen asterodroids, and some smuggler equipment. Gone. CSR's "can't reimburse".
Happened to me about 2 months ago or so, and just haven't felt like building a single droid since.

The patch notes that are currently up on the Test Center forum are for the December patch (the one with vehicles). Our fixes weren't/aren't scheduled until the January patch, meaning you'll likley see them go up to Test Center sometime shortly after the first of the year.
I'm confused as to why I'm seeing so many "MDE calling it quits" threads right about now. Our fixes, including the first combat droids, are coming in January. Quitting now is like quitting a marathon 5 feet short of the finish line! I know, I know, a lot of you find it hard to believe that we're going to get attention... but think about it. Now that Mounts, Player Cities and Vehicles are in (or at least on TC), they're actually freed up from these first post-launch priorities to pay some attention to us and the other troubled professions.
