My first R5 had a stupid chip. It said "Hi" once. How stupid is the stupid chip?

Yeah, that's about it. As far as I've been able to tell, personality chips just change the way a droid responds. It is funny that a binary droid with a personality chip is suddenly able to speak basic...

This sounds like yet another "unimplemented" feature of the D.E. class. I would be thrilled if somebody would prove me wrong on this one. Has anybody tried out the other personality chips yet? Do they do anything at all?

Ona whim, I installed a stupid personality chip in one of my Advanced Probots, here are the amusing things he has said during combat:

"Run bad thing!"
"Dents make me mad."
"I'm still going."
"This won't end well."
"I kill you!"
"You hit me, I hit you back."

The first one was my absolute favorite, I almost fell over laughing when I say this big bad probot tell a gnort "Run bad thing!"...It reminded me of Buffy in the episode "Beer Bad!" (for any of those who watche B:tVS

Can somebody please tell me the benefit/feature of installing Personality chips? I built an Advanced DZ70 yesterday with a 'Stupid' Personality chip, and the only difference I've noticed so far is it said 'Hello' when I first Tamed the deed.

No, they have to be added during construction... I have some sarcastic ones now, I think I'll build one with that personality in it

How do you get them to say things? I built an R5 last night with a stupid personality module and it never says anything. Does it need to be in battle?

So thats the deal with the personality chips? I just got able to make Adv. mouse droid, so needless to say i quickly created one with a stupid personality chip.

I cant seem to notice any difference in its personality(??) from the normal mouse droid without a chip.

What does the chip do exactly?

First droid I put on in was an Advanced Probot...the results are/were amusing. It doesn't so much ACT differently as much as talk back now...here are some choice phrases uttered by my Probot.

I called it out: "Hmmm.. Yes??"

Send it in to fight: "Run bad thing!", "I kill you.", "Do I have to?"

While fighting: "Dents make me mad.", "I'm still going", "This won't end well."

There are some other phrases it's uttered as well, I'm about to make a prissy probot -- just because....well, just because. I really want to make a PINK prissy probot, but I don't know when we'll be able to color our droids.
