Well, that explains why our correspondent is so pro-CU on the boards. He wants to keep his job.

I can tell you that Jenden's no "Yes-man". If there's something that needs to be brought up, he'll bring it.

By the way.....the Corr. thing isn't a "job". It's a caring player giving his/her time to help make the game better and the profession better, which they represent.
...to bring the concerns, issues and opinion of each profession and be a conduit for communication.
If he was let go for some reason, it's between him and the Devs. /shrug

Well, if he's upset about the things we are, he's not posting about it. I haven't seen much communicated to us about our harvesters being useless with the grouping changes, or our med droids and repair kits being useless with the CU changes, or structure maint. being rendered obsolete by the bank withdrawal, or barker droids being useless with GVS (not to mention the sales hit).
I don't expect Jenden to be able to fix anything on his own, but it'd be nice if he sounded mad when we're mad. If he's communicating to the devs with a fury, the second part is relaying that back to the DEs.

Mmmm...sounding mad doesn't help. And, you know that I know whereof I speak.

The short version is that Okram called for something that was a /no-no....and he paid the price.
/shrug
No Correspondent (I'm aware of) has been removed for following the rules and presenting their thoughts on the state of a profession and it's concerns. It's how you do that which matters.

Respectfully,
According to Tiggs, he was canned for having players take concerns to Devs directly, in addition to his voice. I think that should be a right of paying customers.

The right of any paying customer yes, but to basically organize a mob, no.
Free speech is free speech, but you can be arrested for "inciting a riot."

It was a rule. He broke it. End of story.
How much work do you think the Devs would get done if it were okay for folks to PM them directly, hmmmm?

Well, there are "Devs" like Tiggs and TH that are paid to be community relations reps. If their PM boxes get filled, it's part of their job. It's not like they're doing the programming or anything.

The player base is not being listened to. The daily polls show a consistant 80%+ negative rating for the CU. The interviews are full of lies. No offense to any current correspondents or blue glowies but if you guys don't make some noise and support him, and the crafter players it will be very disapointing. Every correspondent to a crafter proffesion should quit in protest. Or do what he is doing and ask us to send our concerns directly to them.

I saw the thread before they deleted and buried it. Tiggs was rather abrupt in her post which infuriated the armorsmiths (me too, actually - it was snotty). As well, they stripped him of the "blue glowie" which seemed to me to be just a wee bit far and personal.
The guy didn't specifically say "SEND PMS TO DEVS". He said to raise concerns with devs - when I read what he said, it sounded like he was encouraging people to raise issues in threads that devs were responding to.
In any event, if they don't fix the "level 1 crafter gets 1 shotted by every aggro" problem, I'm out of here too.
