Every correspondent to a crafter proffesion should quit in protest. Or do what he is doing and ask us to send our concerns directly to them.
There's two ways you can try to get things done. You can constructively work in the system (doesn't mean you don't argue/fight/complain, just means you do it in the proper and constructive maner) or you can do what okram did, and essentially stir up trouble and organize a riot. The fact of the matter is that doesn't help, as it is Tiggs can't open her PM's half the time because the box gets too full (probably something lithium needs to fix... but if its full enough to break a professional forums system... you know thats a lot of PM's). The devs have seen the communities issues about the CU and about crafting professions in general (and we will continue to remind them), and no amount of rioting will make things change any faster/better/different.

I understand your point but in this case I think something different is needed. Look, I have a bit of experiance with things like this. I'm what you might call a professional customer. I run a purchasing department at the large computer distribution company. I deal with HP, AMD etc. Sometimes, when the big boys don't listen you have to make them listen. THey want you as a buffer between them and the players. They want you to deal with us so they don't have to. Are they listening to you atm? Have they answered any of your DE concerns? Belive me, I've gambled with my relationships/contracts before. They have ALOT more to lose then we do. What are they going to do, ban us? ALot of us are on the verge of leaving. How would they spin the mass resignation of correspondents to the outside world? We need to make them listen, period.

Perhaps the message should be a bit more expansive. I've cancelled pending the removal of the multiplier - which quite frankly makes being a pure crafter impossible. That's an issue (level multiplier) that is going to be huge when this hits live. If you clearly tell them these implications - all together in one message - it should be more noticeable than a series of issues posted one after another.
See, it seems they've lost sight of the way the game is interrelated - how the systems bolster or affect one another. You can tell them about specific bugs and they can deal with that - in fact, they prioritize them with very little thought. That's the way it works in this kind of error- report - rate - assign - fix - test cycle. They note each "issue" but don't see the fact that for one, DE is going to be crippled because of how the bugs act together - along with the combat system changes.
But really, we've been seeing how these basic changes plus the bugs are pointing to huge systemic problems. Tell them what the result in total is going to be.
We all see how many of our modules are broken, useless, or non-saleable. Do they actually know what percentage of our products have been made non-sellable? Do they know the overall impact on normal DE/Master Artisan templates with the combat "level" damage multiplier?
I think they're missing a lot of what you guys are saying because you guys KNOW what each thing you report means in the big picture. They just see datapoints.
I didn't intend to give the impression I was dissatisfied with his, Drashk's, nor with TK's representation over the last year. My apologies if that was the impression anyone got. I just was suggesting a submission of an "overall" bug/issue presentation to explain stuff to the devs.

Being pissed at Jenden is silly, lord knows he and I butt heads all the dang time, we disagree on a lot of points, yet our DE problems are not because he isn't doing his job.

All such an act would do is probably lead to the abolishment of the Corr positions entirely, which would be bad for us.
Would it?
So am I. It means that Droid Engineer has a Correspondent that is level headed and is able to be a voice for the community, when it is needed the most.

Ding Ding Ding.... We have a winner!
Reaperss wrote:Could anyone please tell me what we've gotten in the last 3-4 months by doing things the correct way? Drashk you yourself know very well what it's like to be ignored by TH. How many different ways did we tell them what we thought about DH? We all saw your correspondent forum post to the Devs. THey still tried to do what they wanted. We don't owe the Devs anything , including respect. F them.
While I can only vouch for the past 2 months or so, I can say that yes, we have made a difference by doing things the correct way. I have seen a number of large changes to proposals and plands due to correspondent feedback. It doesn't always happen, but the only time it every happens is when we're productive/constructive.
