The Basic and Advanced version of each droid do not have the same Health. Each version of the droid has its own maximum Health. It would appear that Health has stayed the same as the current Live HAM on the LE and Astromechs. The Health on the Probot and DZ70 appear to have been increased.
Damage and Attack Speed
Damage and attack speeds seem to be completely wonky in this build of the CU. The following is a listing for each of the Advanced Combat Droid type. Each of these droids were built using a 96 Rated Combat Module, with the above listed Health and Effectiveness Experimentation. The first set of numbers list what is on the Deed, or listed in the datapad. The second listing is taken from the combat logs.
-
Advanced LE Combat Droid - Combat Rating 289 -
66 - 148 Damage -
1.57 Attack Speed -
117 damage per hit every 4 seconds -
Or 29.25 DPS
-
Advanced DZ70 Combat Droid - Combat Rating 192 -
74- 146 Damage -
1.5 Attack Speed -
119 damage per hit every5 seconds -
Or 23.8 DPS
-
Advanced Probot Combat Droid - Combat Rating 482 -
101-200 Damage -
0.78Attack Speed -
183 damage per hit every3 seconds -
Or 61 DPS
-
Advanced R2 Combat Droid - Combat Rating 192 -
90 - 189 Damage -
1.57 Attack Speed -
152 damage per hit every 4 seconds -
Or 38 DPS
-
Advanced R4 Combat Droid - Combat Rating 289 -
74 - 155 Damage -
1.57 Attack Speed -
125 damage per hit every 4 seconds -
Or 31.25 DPS
The X Damage per hit every X seconds was taken directly from the combat window. The numbers are not averaged. This is the damage that each droid caused to any mob that it targeted, that was equal too, or less then CL 18. I didn't test tbe droids against higher CL creatures, since the toon doing the testing is only ranking 6.
It would appear that the damage delievered is an absolute average of what he droid lists for damage in the datapad. It is unknown which is in error at this time the damage out put or the damage listing in the datapad.
The second issue with between the two is the Attack Speed. The speed of each attack does not appear to be based off of the Attack Speed listed in the datapad. It is unknown which is in error at this time the damage out put or the damage listing in the datapad.
The DPS of the Probot appears to be the only one that is on target with mobs of the same CL. All of the other droids appear to have a lower then average DPS.
Droid Health Regeneration Rates
It would appear that a droid can curently regenerate Health at a rate of approximately 3k Health per 60 seconds. I didn't do a proper testing of this, but rather made a rough estimate based off of one combat encounter where the droids Health hit 700. I timed the Health bar, after combat was over and approximated how long it would take to regenerate 3k Health. This should be correct, give or take +10 seconds.
It is unknown if this is proper behaviour for the Droids Regenerative abilities.
Auto-Repair Module
With the current Health regen rates on a droid, the Auto-Repair moduels are near pointless. The additional X points per X seconds just aren't as effective as the ability to regen at a rate of approximately 50 Health per second.
Stimpack Dispenser Modules
Stimpack Dispenser Modules can be used in the current TC3 build. This module appears to be using the same coding that it did Pre-CU and does not accept the new Stim As. No further tests could be run on this modules, since they can not be loaded.
Droid Armor Modules
Droid Armor modules are currently not being displayed as giving a droid Resists. The resists do not appear in teh /examine window, nor are they accounted for when in combat. No Droid with armor installed is seeing a reduction in damage.
This Issue could be related to an issue that appears to have removed resists from all mobs. It is unknown at this time as to whether resists are not functioning is as intended.
New - 4/14/05 12:36 am
Level 5 and 6 Droid Armor modules will be unbuildable post CU, since Composite Armor Segments have been removed from the game. Both Level 5 and 6 Droid Armor Modules require 1 Composite Armor Segment, as part of their schematics.
Medical Modules
Serveral sources have informed me that you are able to use Doctor buffs and healing without the need of a Medical Droid present, when attempting to use their abilities in the field. I have yet to get the chance to test out the Medical Module functions, on my own, since I have very little in the manner of Medical Skills. It is currently unknow if a Level 6 Medical modules still offers a 10% bonus during the healing process. It is unknown wether or not this is a bug or is as intended.
Pathing / AI
Not much seems to have currently changed for the Droid's AI / pathing ability. A droid will still get hung up when moving in and out of buildings.Targeting with a droid has changed slightly, but mostly due to the mob 'Hate' system, line of sight, and the increased draw range.
You are now able to chose a target from a much greater distance, which means that you can send your droid in in advance of your joining combat. This helps to draw aggro. The down fall of this, with the new 'Hate system' is that the target will also approach the droid at a faster rate. This means that the target will meet the droid halfway, even if the droid hasn't caused damage yet.
With the current incarnation of the Hate system, mobs will be drawn to the droid, if the droid has a greater damage outputage then you. This is tyically the case of anyone under a combat rating of 20. Since the droid draws aggro, this leaves a perfect chance to beat on the targeted mob, with little risk.
This is more then likely a bug in the Hate system and could change any day now, but does show how effective using a droid is under the current system, especially for its tanking and damage dealing properties.
Overview
Four words for anyone with low-end combat skills, modeled on the current TC3 system. BUY A COMBATDROID. Even with the wonkiness currently on the damage / displayed damage in the datapad, your average Combat Droid will be able to help anyone under a combat rating of 20. The CL 18 rating of the droid makes it a solid tool to use while progressing skills and the Health Regen on the droid makes it a viable tank.
I'll update this thread as more infromation is gathered. This is all that I have for now.

On a semi related note, I'd like to appologize to everyone for being out of it the past couple days. A large project I've got to get done by wednesday has been sucking up all of my time. After I finish it up I'll be good to go in full force again though.
need to make that change, the merch bark is useless with global serach for all but a few things.

Scout Trap - Next to useless
Stimpack dispencer
Repar kit

Granted not everything is broken. And on the bright side, we can fit all the in-demand things into one droid chassis, this will signifgantly cut back on our factory runs.
I'm glad I held off on making a big batch of Probots. Sounds like pre-CU probots will be stuck with the old 3200 HAM. And it makes me wonder if they are increasing the HAM, but getting rid of resistances for droids. /shrug

We're working on some large scale runs of parts to make things a bit more available soon

All of our resoruce reqs are the same right? HAM just goes from OQ and nothing else?
Everything that I have seen so far is exactly the same,
The only other changed the Javelin noticed was the placement of the Combat Capable Socket Cluster. It used to be 0300 DE, but is now 0200 DE. Its on Live now, so its hard to tell when this was actually changed and its been so long since I really looked at the DE template, that I forgot what was where. ![]()
I'm going to try and start a few runs of Combat Modules and other assorted goodies, after I hit Master, which should be 30 minutes after I log in, since there should be plenty of Adv Droid Motives, finally. The next step will to begin the Chassis runs for R3s, R2s, Probots, and LEs. I'm not sure how long I can stay online tonight, since I decided to pull an all nighter to get the info out and then went to work, which I just got home from.
. More then likely won't have any solid number of droids for sale, until tomorrow some time.
One thing that we could use would be people willing to throw the droids on a vendor, and set up 'shops' in areas where there is heavy traffic. Doing so would help to get the droids out, so that they can be tested in combat.

I apologize for not being on the TC as well...thanks for covering the AI portion, Drashk. I think I'm going to wait for the frogs to allow me to get MDE...it's hard to convince myself to do The Grind again on something I'm not going to be able to keep.

Talk to drashk or one of the other DE's on TC, I'm sure they can hook you up with droids to use for your testing. We really don't need many MDE's to make the droids, just need people to test them.
