Thread: Post-CU Stim Dispenser

I had an idea for how the stim dispenser could be fixed so that it is a useful module in the post-CU world. Since anyone can self-stim based on combat level, wouldn't it be nice if you could load a droid with stims and command it to autostim during combat when you lose a certain percentage of damage. The stims that are placed into it can be based on one of several factors:

- ONLY Stim-A (as it is right now)
- Based on the owner's combat level or a fraction thereof
- Experimental value of the module

I personally like either of the last two options. If anyone can think of any ideas to go along with it, I'd like to hear it. Perhaps Jenden can list this as a possible solution when he reports droid CU screwups.

Please please don't suggest more stuff to be based on the owners combat level. The last thing we need is more stuff that we as crafters can't even use.

Well, stims are based on combat level, so it only makes sense.

Right which is exactly why if anybody needs a droid to heal themselves, woudn't it make sense to make it the people who can't heal themseves already?

Because they could heal themselves along with the droid... since there's up to a one minute timer on the stim-A right now.

It jsut makes more sense to me to make it usefull to the people who can't heal themselves at all, instead of letting those who can heal themselves twice.

As it is now even a char without any skills is CL 1. Means everyone can use the lowest stims.
Reworking the stim mod. to administer them at a greater speed wouldn't be bad.

Altough it should not be automatic at a certain health level, the player has to do something to get a heal imho

I like the automatic healing idea. Droids already can auto-heal each other, why not theyr'e owners?

Like a droid that is actually usefull to combat characters.... imagine that....

Auto heal would push it over the line for beeing to usefull imho, making it a prerequisite to go into combat...

Bad Idea, i think

If it was balanced, why is it a bad idea? Armor or Weapons is already a pre-requisite for gonig into combat, what would be terrible about making it so Droids were just as desired? Maybe not just a stim droid, but a lot of droid types.

Assuming they were blanaced.

True.... every player and they're mother would have an R3 or whatever following them around all day..... but hmm I don't know that doesn't seem so bad...

Hmmm yeah exactly.. by providing a variety of truly usefull droids.... may be the answer.

Great, even more of the same old droid around, as only 1 (one) droid will be used because it has the most module slots. (as long as they dont change anything else....)

Back to the topic:

In my Opinion in a "balanced" and equal system it would be possible to attack an enemy naked without any weapon and win! IF the enemy is dumb enough not to fight back or to wear decent armor.

Now taking the old stim mod., it can hold like 100 meds, which could (in theory) heal for 250 each, means 25.000 points of damage in total. last time i tried PvP on TC i did like 200 -300 damage (might be way off) every 2 sec. That would calculate into 166 seconds of "free" healing! Talk about hard to balance with people who decide not to use one.

But thats mindless rumbling...

shouldnteven try to win a "fight" of mind while its 2am
