Lol...I was half Norwegian, Half Scottish until this weekend . Mom informed me I am also part German (whoda thunk?). Yes, I glow in the dark! Time spent in the sun consists of burning, peeling and getting freckles. My wife is bascially the same ancesrty as I am...our poor daughter may never be able to go outside!

I am half Dutch and half German-Welsh-Irish-French-Other. (My dad is American Mutt) I burn and then the next day return to my normal pasty white color. It took 4 years of being a lifeguard to get my skin to even resemble a somewhat decent tan. My fellow guards used to tease me for putting sunblock on my head where my hair parts, but I had horrifying visions of developing a neat strip of skin cancer right down my scalp.

Don't know if I have any honest-to-God English in me, but with Welsh and Irish there must have been some border rovers in there. I don't think we have anything as respectable as a coat of arms though. The Dutch half of my family had some snotty maiden aunts who wanted to find out "what" royalty we had in our family. They got all the way back to a River Pirate on the Blue Danube who had got himself hung in the 1600s and gave up. So I have a long long record of my shady family history.

Ah, but have ye a witch? I do (sort of). Something like great-great-great-great-great-great (however many times it takes to get back to Salem Witch Trials time) aunt was arrested and jailed, along with her husband (great-however-many-times-over uncle, brother to my direct ancestor) for something like a year on suspicion of being a witch in Salem, Mass. Eventually released, guess they were some of the "lucky" ones who didn't get hung or burned at ye olde stake. Fun times!

Oh, that and I'm however-remotely related to Lucille Ball (!!!), tho it's probably something like eightyith cousins 17 times removed or something ridiculous like that... but we can trace back to the same guy in Connecticut! We had a blast when we started getting into family histories, I can go back something like 17 or 18 generations on where we came over from England (and from France on my mon's side), plus there is supposedly a connection an even earlier guy who was arrested and put to death for some kind of highway robbery in England, but so far nobody has found enough to prove the link between him and the guys who came over from England and brought our family here.

I know. The Celtic Fling was Scottish/Irish stuff. And i had always thought i was half Irish, but i found up, much to my own dismay, that I am actually half british, not Irish

Well my family comes from England and Germany, what a mix! Although I have been told by my grandmother that there is some Native American in our blood. I think she told me it was Sioux.

heeeey i was gonna go to the celtic fling this weekend...its not far from me. maybe ill see ya at the actual ren faire this summer.
