Thread: *publish day* findings so far...the good bad & ugly! (for those at work)

I am not sure why people are complaining about the having to put the Combat Cluster Modules into some Droids, its been like that since Publish 7. Any Droid that Accepts Combat Clusters, only takes Combat Clusters, and you can either put Combat Modules into them or regular Droid Modules. Works just fine.
Because the Combat Cluster uses yet another DroidBrain as a component while the regular Cluster does not. And if I'm not making a combat droid, why do I need an extra targeting computer for each cluster?
Basically, standard Clusters should be able to fit in combat Cluster slots just like standard modules can fit in combat module slots. The insane requirements we have for Droid Brains, EMM, and EGPM are way out of hand.
Barking droid seems to react to each new person entering it's territory, with no delay.
In Kaadara that was fine, when someone walked up, he'd say his pitch.
In Theed it was a nightmare. Made the afk spammers look polite.
4 people run towards the shuttleport, it spams the message four times.
EITHER it needs a delay as well as territory reaction (so having said the line, it is silent until a minute is up regardless how many new people show up) or it needs to say it as a "personal" message, so that ONLY the new person sees it as opposed to using the spatial channel.
I got around this by giving the droid a large patrol area (so you, sitting there, would get the 4 message spam still but it would wander off and you wouldn't see it again for a few minutes when it came back) but it was warping all over the place and the same message four times in rapid succession is still very annoying.
The droid stored itself a couple of times, could not isolate what caused this.
When the droid runs out of batteries, it continues to patrol but will not bark AND will not give out the waypoint. So if you wander off and leave your droid to it, it becomes useless.
If you log off, the droid disappears.
If you leave the area, you can call a new droid, leaving your barker droid running. I assume this is the old range-bug ... the battery issue means it probably isn't a big deal (hmm, but could you have a second char with a power droid macro filling yours up while you go out and fight?).
Hope this helps.
Last night they seemed fine; I was making R2s with 40 ratings.
Today, I made two R2 ADV using five highly experimented lvl 2 struct maintenance modules. These were identical modules from a single factory crate.
Each of three c-clusters (struct x 3) came out with NO STRUCT RATING.
The final droids with 1 cluster and 2 modules came out with a rating of 16 the first time, and 8 the second time.
I have submitted a /bug.
that uses up all module space in the droid.
i have hunting 4 in scout. here is what i got.
only had time to harvest 1 creature.
me, hunting 4 - 22 units of meat
R3 with harvest rating of 104 - 26 units of meat
this was in harvesting the exact creature on
both accounts. A Perlek on Lok.
not sure but i believe you will max a harvest droid
out at a harvest rating of 120 if 6 perfect modules put
into an R3. i used 6 modules with a rating of 17 per
module before they stacked in the droid for a 104 rating.
hope this helps.
I finally got the chance to play a little with my uncrated Probot, and he was amazing. He tanked 2 Giant peko pekos for me and still had 1/3 of his Health left. Very thrilling.
The BE boards had a rousing complaint thread going about how ourCombat droids are so much better than their lvl 10 pets, doom doom doom. They made it seem as if cranking outProbots was no harder than falling off a truck. I politely explained EXACTLY how hard it is to run off High quality droids, and while BE don't get the advantage of replication, they more than make up for it in the variety and customization potential of their pets. I have a BE alt, and I can identify with both sidesof the issue, but to be honest, their pet making process is a lot more fun than preparing and designing a factorybatch of any droid.( I also pointed out that our Harvest Droids, for the time being at least, will let them harvest a DNAkill)
Faymar wrote:Confirmed, structure maintenance modules not showing in the droid. The module itself doesn't have a rating either, I'm pretty sure last night they did (but not positive, it was all a bit chaotic).
I'm noticing that as well.
Yesterday they had some ratings on how many structures they could do. Today nothing.

that should be correct, anyone should be able to call droid regarldess of its stated CL
also, barker module seems totally random at this point, can't get a read on it. sometimes 2 mins sometimes 12
yup. it does appear to be a random interval between barks. I've even had it bark three times in rapid succession before, which means the barking interval is sometimes as low as a few seconds.

Please relax. Unless someone sent you a pm calling you a liar,I dont think anyone thought that. You simply asked if anyone else had the same problems, so I showed you theemail Igot, showing the problems werent happening for me. As a matter of fact, whenI saw your post,I guessed it was a per server problem (I had heard about similar problems earlier) and figuredI wouldnt need to post what serverI was on etc and explain it because all the info was right there under my name...I guess i was wrong. I appologize if you took my post the wrong way.
I can't seem to find the right module for it.
