LMAO... I was trying to be as meek as possible and still say "I'm mad as H E double hockey sticks, and i'm getting frustrated" but not enough to get banned.
I just feel the need to vent a few. I wish I was more vocal and helpful. I think our spirits are started to finally get drained. We need some pepping up or something good
Just my two plug nickels...

Well, this is definitely a low point for Droid Engineers. Totally ignored while the CU is being pushed, and new items that only make sense for DEs and Doctors are given to NPCs.
We have no voice in the game, and little hope of improvement. Fun times.

Oh, yeah. That.
I had already blocked out the vendor listing goodness. Good to see the SOE team so caring as to the plight of the crafter.

It's hard to understand how the same patch that includeds forced grouping (for combat) doesn't promote player interaction for items like cybernetic implants. I would REALLY like to see what their overall mission statement and objectives are for devlepment. They certainly seem to be at odds with each other on the implementation.

Maybe we could organize a voice discussion on a conference call or teamspeak instead of an ingame text discussion?

As someone else noted.....its too late for anything to change at this point with the release around the corner. Minor changes here and there and some bug fixes sure, but fi they have made quests where these are obtained and installed by NPCs - its not going to change.
As a Master DE, this is the biggest let down in a long time, I was actually hoping to make a couple of credits by supplying the implants. So much for that.
I could provide some thoughtful insite and solutions, but at this point why? Its nice to vent frustations and see what other DEs have to say, but at the end of the day, SOE will do what they want.
Sadly, as having a DJK alt, the CU looks to be bad news for alot of people and every profession forum has posts about their concerns. What saddens me the most is how much I like this game and I'm afraid its going to be a wreck after the CU. I preordered ROTW with hopes of waiting it out and seeing how things go, but after reading the TC boards the upgrade needs alot of work. Guess I am crossing my fingures that this game will survive.

I personally would have like to see this.....
1) Have DE make the cybernetic implants
2) Have a BE make a "bio-mechanical interface"
3) Have a DOC perform the "attachment"
4) to use cybernetics you have to do a Medical Theme Park quest, like Jabba's theme park or any other for a huge hospital/med center in a major city. Once completed you can get a doc to graft mechanical hands, eyes, whatever (this idea mentioned before)
my 2 credits on this topic

So docs do not implant them and droid engineers do not make them! Oh. that so encourages the pluraility of player professions. Nice one Sony.

The quests gives you a schematic, than you go to your DE craft it. Then you go back on Kashyyyk, ask politely a wookie to tear your arm off, go back to your family doctor on a civilized planet !

thanx for clearing that up Lokos- relieved it is not as appalling as it sounds, shame that they do not have bacta tanks in player med centreswhich only docs can operate to fit the implants tho. dropped the ball there I feel.
