I was glad to see a response that at least the current newest problem is being looked and will hopefully be fixed.

The problem with crafting certain droids and the power problems arent the only immediate problems around that i have been exposed to.

Apparently, old, pre patch batteries don't recharge droids now. Two different people experienced this, but when i made them brand new batteries they charged up fine. The other problem i noticed is that i could no longer experiment on a battery to make it more than a 2 charger (based on the materials used). I have been able to get 3, 4 or once even a 5 charge battery through experimentation but neither a public nor a private crafter would let me experiment on a battery. If Droids no longer charge on the datapad and they use more power and a 2 charge battery is the most that can be made, we will need trailers to haul the needed batteries.

We are so screwed as DEs....by the time they get us fixed and make a reason for us to exist, other than the mobil crafting stations, players will have no faith and not want to touch the products we make.

A problem that is biggest understatement of the year.

I am still a novice DE trying to grind to my first skill box. When I try to make a mouse droid (only about 300 more to go) I get an error "internal server error: owner has no player"

So the only thing I can do it make components, need about 1200 to get a any skill.

I think I will try CH atleast it works.

In just 1 day, the replies to Blair's post have gone from appreciation to hatred and sarcasm. I'm so happy I play a game with such an array of understanding players....

Why should we be understanding? What reason has any devs given us to be understanding about the situation with DEs? Blair's post is along the same lines as a couple of other posts in the past 4 months of "We understand there are problems with droids. We are discussing this internally to decide where to go"

This loosely translates to "we dont know what to do but we have a good idea of how to make creatures mountable so we will take your dev and make him work on that for better pets".

Glad to know our dev is hard at work....

Tho the profession (ordroids in general) are broken, plz fix the "internal server error : no owner for player"with top priority plz.

hint : People are relating this bug to the use of factory crates, but also when you make a Mouse droid without optional module (so only using steel and chemical) you will get the error.

Yes, the problem is called droid engineering and we are trying to remove the bug right now.... Please update your skill to Creature Handler as soon as possible.

I hate to mention the obvious, but is there some good reason this bug isn't mentioned on the launcher?

I learn about it, after I burn two bots trying, then waste even more time talking to the CSR in chat, to find out it's a known bug. I'd surely bet if it was Arch, and it was large houses that did this, there would be an announcement up.

Even better, would be to just have the database send an email to everyone who is novice DE or above, so we'd know the status of the problem in game. Decent customer service, really isn't that hard to do, you just need to do it.

Oh, by the way, Q posted a note say that this issue won't get a look at until Oct 15th. It's in the Annoucement. Under the Bug status, it's got a "?", so I guess they are not quite sure if that's a bug yet, ehh? Personally, I think this is a perfect fix for the DE economic. You force the DE to go on vacation for about a month or so... hey, maybe there will be more demand when we are fixed! Imagine the crowd lining up to buy the mouse droids!
