Thread: There is a problem with droid crafting...
I see no reason to throw rose petalsat the feet of a developer who wanders in and casually mentions fixing something that they messed up. So please, stop sucking up. Whoever said that all most of us want is some acknowledgement about our problems, speak for yourself. I want my profession fixed. The other dev's have done enough acknowledging of our problems, they just haven't bothered to FIX anything.
The acknowledgement that you borked something is appreciated, now fix it and the rest of our busted class and I'll be happy.
There is a problem with droid crafting...
At least they tell that they are aware of it ... two days without beeing able to craft simple droids ...
How long will it be to make a patch ... and will they test it ?
they haven t notice that customisation tools wasn t working after they the patch....
they haven t notice that droid crafting was broken after they patch ...
How will they know that this is working again ... i wonder if someone in SOE know even how to craft a droid ...
I agreed that they were problems with the profession that everybody say it was broken , but at least ,making experience we were waiting for better days and a DE could continue having fun with his char even if it wasn t heaven...
Now DE is really broken good work SOE dev team !
At least i bow to Blair that communicate on the problem , it is a good thing ... but it may be not enough ...
I'm not a DE, but I am a customer. I'd like to point out that it's not just crafting that is problematic at the moment:
1.) Customization will not function properly on various R units both pre- and post-patch. The specifics of the problems have been outlined extensively in this forum.
2.) Power appears to be draining MUCH quicker from droids now, since the latest patch. No one is sure if this is intentional or a bug.
Hopefully, while addressing the crafting issue, the devs can fix these other issues. While not as critical to the DE profession as the initial crafting stage, they certainly do impact upon it and upon customers' decisions to patronize the profession in general.
Well another idea for a Money Sink after the Promised 'Need to be an Established Player to Afford Starships' is RX units but of course their current functionality is questionable. Store a message or lightsaber in one? Sorry that causes inbalance in the game 'NERF'
Just 1 comment from someone who first looked at the Professions and saw DE and exclaimed 'Cool!' well after checking how 'Cool' droids were in game, DE comments and one offering money to have players /bug DE and checking out this forum... I decided I'd rather be a Smuggler than a DE now, and Smugglers are borked too, just not near as bad. Despite the lack of actual smuggler content, they are needed/wanted. The only ones needing/wanting DEs are BH and Doctors.
GNR_Viper wrote I couldn't stand that kinda god-admiration in WWIIOL
lol I think it's kinda Ironic that you posted that in this thread
Blair was the best Troll WWIIOL had ![]()
Blair, good form. I am unsure if it is related, but droids (old crafted and newly(?) crafted) are using a greater amount of power than they were previously.
Heh, willforce, I was wondering if anyone besides me got the irony of that post after I wrote it. ![]()
What name did ya use in WWIIOL, out of curiousity?
I left when they nerfed the forums.
It was taking them too long to advance the game. In the end I was hoping for navy to be implemeted quicker.
Don't worry, the Devs are on it - once again, soon, we'll be able to make the bugged and largely useless droids we've been making all along and then they'll go back to improving CH. We can even color some of them, sometimes, sorta... =)
Thanks for the post though, it was nice to see a red name at least acknowledge our existence. You'll have to understand that some of us have become rather disillusioned and cynical about our profession given the second class treatment we've been accorded since release. =)
