way I see it as one being master DE, BE and CH so far and no intention of giving them up of the players they skilled on. I see a class for combat droids and or using them. We have our anybody can use now. Get them so can heal them and a battery meter on them or some such. But just because of being a master DE should not mean you should be able to use everything can make. AKA top line combat droid. As a BE I can not use my own pets with only that skill needed to make them. It same for weapon smith. I can only see it working if have a new class or restric them to faction type. Faction keeps it simple sorta. Not have to deal with PvP and PvE. So easier to balance. The seperate skill call it Droid Handler would allow some sorta method on being able to use them. Be that skill a elite of DE or whatever though placing it as such would I think keep everybody and there brother being one.

I can see those droids with claws, zappers, or sheer mass (BLL's) having limited combat capabilities. But protocols, surgicals, and power droids are suppose to have specific purposes that are non-combat related.

Biggest wish list item: MORE DROIDS! especially combat orienteddroids, the addition of Droideka's and IG Assain Droids would be ideal. It would add more content, and just make more sense, any customer would prefer to have a Droideka or IG unit to an MSE droid with a weapon strapped to the top of it.

i'd say fix every thing and get us some usefull combat droids aswell as let us have multiple droids out ( we run programs on them that non droid engineers can't write) .

that and maybe add slicer moduals that improve or even allow full control over smugglers slices.

all that technical stuff you guy's work on i'd just like to see droids as a competitive option to creature handlers with bio engineer animals ( one would think they'd be arch rivals)

also i could care less if others can use my droids i should have more of them and besides , why would i ever sell my best stuff to the enemy

aye that is my view. If they same stats as what CH can use, whats the big deal? Just they metal then flesh. so they cheap metal and get blown up easy just like flesh from critters. That is all they have to do. But catch is there is nothing in game to allow for being a DH so something like that would work. But that gives them ther balance problem. I know lots people that would love droids as pets and drop CH in a flash if they could have bots do the same as there critters can. Silly me, I do not think that is that hard to make happen. Don't need 50 different types of them after all. CH goes to skill 70 so that is a break of say 7 of 10 each. I see that as simple. I guess to simple.

Ok, here's my 2 credits:

1. None of the above..

More combats droids should equal more droids

2. "2" .. the utility droids can be multipurpose.. the speciality droids specific.

3. The orginal idea didn't look bad where more resources to make = more funcationaliy/modules.

but there are too many with 1 or 2 modules and take the specialities out of this catagory

4. Do it today.. or a least real soon.

I wish for a Droid that will explode when sent to a mob. The explosion should be massive, but at the same time cost massive amounts of resources.

1) Would the ablity to add Combat Modules be acceptable for the following droids?

  1. MSE -- Yes. But, only the bomb they have discussed
  2. R-Series Droids -- Yes, electricity damage, as seen in Jabbas Palace (Movies)
  3. Treadwell -- I don´t mind.
  4. Power Droid -- No.
  5. LE Repair Droid -- No. Maybe sabotage functions on other droids and vehicles.
  6. Surgical Droid -- Not directly.
  7. Protocol Droid -- No. They are ambassadors and should not be known as combatants.
  8. Binary Load Lifter -- No.

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droidto havea specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)
  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

Combination of the two. Either low level modules allowed in all droids and high level only allowed in appropriate types, or modules in appropriate types have bonuses.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Yes,see #2.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

Combat Droids equal to very high-level CH/BE Pets, best Combat Droid only usable by Master DE, or Master DE can use more Droids at the same time (just like CH)

A combination. R-series droids should be multi-functional, swiss army knives. However, some droids should have special abilities inherrent to the droid, as in the case of the current power droid. A Surgical droid should have a healing bonus, like +20, making a surgical able to have up to a 130 healing mod. Make the repair droid heal for w/o a repair mod - but leave the repair mod around to go into other droids.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Most definitely. However, those limitiations are already there - if they enforce only allowing clusters in the slots specifically designed for clusters.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

That combat droids not be R2's with CDEF's strapped to their heads, and that a sensible cert system be implemented that does not just allow only DE's to use combat droids. I so do not want to be a creature handler with metal creatures that eat batteries and require me to maintain hoppers to generate.

Droids are machines. They do as they're programmed. ANY droid can be fitted for combat; but it requires more modification on the "personality" level, rather than simplyduct-taping a CDEF onto stock droids.

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droidto havea specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)
  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

Compromise on this one. I favor inherent droid-specific purpose. However,a module can be added to create more robust droids. (modules added to specific droid types would be at an effectiveness penalty)

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Yes... in limited doses. Restricting the module level an MSE can hold would be a lethal nerf to the thing.. yet an MSEwielding astructure crafting station is a hilarious abuse of physics.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

A well-implemented droid cert system; which I see as the only way to derail the DroidHandler profession that seems to be coming at us whether we want it or not.
