There was no new droid storage space added. 5 is still the limit I'm afraid.


And as far as the new and old combat droids go, I just tested this, and here are the resaults:



Existing Droids (in datapad): No change to anything

Existing Deeds (in inventory): No change to HAM listed

Droids readied from existing Deeds: Old HAM, new combat stats

Deeds pulled from existing Crates: New HAM listed on deed

Droids readied from deeds pulled from existing Crates: New HAM and combat stats


So it basically boils down to the deed. The combat stats will always be the new stats as long as the droid is still a deed, but the HAM will only be new if the deed lists it as new. So if you have some droids that you have already removed from a crate but it is still a deed, you might be able to sell if for a cheaper price to someone who just wants some fire support and doesn't care about the droids ability to tank at all.


And to answer the comment about the guy who bought a barker droid and couldn't use it: You do need to bea Merchant, and you also need Advertising IV in order to use a Merchant Barker Droid.


Fellow DE's, please inform people of the skills they need to use certain modules. You can't just assume they know what they need, and its so dishonest to sell someone something they can't use. I could have sold 3 droids full of effects and about 10 merchant barkers if I would have just let them buy it without telling them what they need, but thats just cruel. This game is supposed to be based on community (yes, I'm addressing all of you solo groups out there too when I say that ), and to cheat another player just because they aren't knowlegable about something just isn't good. You might get asale, but you won't be getting any more from the person or the person's friends once they find out you scammed them, and you aren't helping your reputation as a person much either. Just do the right thing.....

The trick that makes this not too bad is you can still use other droids while that one is out doing its thing. The droid doesn't take distance to harvesters into account when it makes its runs, but I don't think its that big of an issue. I'm not sure how many people use all 5 droids in their datapad regularly...

I read my post and I'm in tears any how thanks for added info. I'm posting this note on surveying droid forums.

CSR MeliisaL says their is a known issue that surveying droids are returning a blank email . she further states a Post will soon follow.


How many others had thisblank email issue?



After two years gone I returned.

Came across some very good OQ/CD Copper a few weeks back and harvested about 75k before it shifted on me. Using half of it to make about 750 combat modules (104 cmr), which I'll then use to make several R3s and Probots (the first of which I should be able to make tonight).


Realistically, I don't think I'll have any droids premade using the new modules, but rather just use them in custom orders, as I try only to have commonly requested droids (surgical droids with 110 med and chem craft, and full combat droids) on the vendor.

Did the Detonation Modules get nerfed before they hit us? I just made a Power 8 Quality 11 module with Copper 975/951, Inert 981, and Reactive 592 (best I have). I saw earlier in the thread people talking about making Power 35+ modules!!

My own findings with the creature harvest droid.


I've got scout hunting 4. +45 Creature Harvest. My guild's MDE made a +31 harvestADV MSE for me. And I went Gurk hunting over my lunch break.


Harvests are listed as myself, myself w/ droid out, droid.


Gurk: 68 / 69 / --


Trakcer: 68 / -- / 69


Gatherer: 69 / -- / 69


So, it would appear to me that a +31 harvest droid doesn't give any bonus beyond being able to do the harvest while you're still shooting at gurks. I've got a +16 harvest standard MSE to try later and see if I end up getting LESS. Also, it didn't make any difference if the droid was grouped or not when it harvested.

I'd be very interested in more info on this. As it is I can get a harvest bonus of +17 per module and I'd like to know how many I'd need to stack to make it useful and without taking up all the available slots.

I'll post more harvest takes when I have them, Obo. Only had time to do one gurk lair over lunch (what with getting the droid and hopping shuttles home to GET the droid...) I'll see if I can't get my MDE to make me something with even more of the modules, get higher than that +31. Guess I'd better tip him some money for it all!


I also have a ranger pal with +90 Harvest or something like that. I'll have him test through the set of droids too, see what his results are. AND I'll test to see if two harvest droids in a group can work. AND I'll test to see if eating a veghash makes any difference in droid harvest rates. But that all has to wait until 5:00 PM Central or later. Heh.

So anybody correct me if I'm wrong...but it appears that a good harvesting droids only usefullness is it allows a player to drop all of the hunting tree in scout...free up some skill pts...since only you or the droid can harvest and not both harvest the same creature...does this sound about right?

SOCKET and CLUSTER help



I have been making a few custom order droids and had the same problem as many other people. General socket clusters with for example 3 entertainer effects DO NOT fit into the slot for generic socket clusters in the R droids. BUT combat clusters do. Make your entertainer and other utility modules into combat capable clusters and they fit.

I was hoping the survey droids would do more, basically swg resorce.com is far more useful, gues I can't drop surveying skill :-(.


Scouting droids are cool and I want one, even if itjust goes round and collects meat while im shooting it would be a boon.


Anyone on flurry selling them 110 rating please and a probot combat droid also?

Interplanetary Survey droid findings:


Quantity 13 / Quality 32 : 53 minutes for report

Quantity 10 / Quality 74 : 26.5 minutes for report

Quantity 7 / Quality 89 : 19.75 minutes for report


No blank mails yet.


PS, Made a sweet R3 with 303 combat rating and 60 rating self-repair module:


120-127 damage

1.52 speed

0.4 to hit

4455 HAM and it heals itself 60 HAM every 10 seconds while in combat and afterwards too.
