TKH, how about this for a fix. For the "owner" it works just like any other command, you program it to heal on whatever command, "heal" for example. So when the owner says heal, it heals him.

This would be much better for the owner at least, gets rid of the targetting problem for the owner.

Now when dealing with "others," you can keep the same system (kind of crappy,) or possibly with some programing just have it so you only need to target the droid when you request the heal, then you can switch back, once the command goes out.

Either way, let the owner not need to target the droid. Possibly work in the befriend command somehow?

I have one of these droids and I can't get the /requestStimpack command to heal me. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Still trying to test the command out on others.

Hi guys. I've been playing around with my medic bot for a while now. When I first heard about a droid with the capability to heal, I was stoaked, I always wanted a lil' buddy to come along with me in groups, and help me heal. This bot is not the case.

I take issue with several features in this bot.
1) combat is fast, I don't want to take time to select the bot, then hit /requeststimpack. one button capability please.
2) Stim A's I really can't see a use for this bot beyond someone's first week in the game. if you need it in a fight, why not just buy a level 6 combat droid? you can waist anything low level, and have a distinct advantage at mid levels, mitigating the need for a healing bot. Would the capacity for these little guys to use Bs really be so bad? As of now, I cant use this bot, its too little to late in my book, it would get in the way more than it would help in anything other than corrilian butterflys and durnis. I fail to see the developer's logic in this. Why have a droid, witch requiers a medic who can make stim Cs to load the thing, only carry As? Who benifits? medics? new players? certainly not doctors.

This droid has the potential to be the doctor's best friend. would it really be so bad to have it use B's insted of As? I would pay an arm and a leg in credits to have a bot that used Bs.

and I can't stress enugh how low powered As are. 80-90 points max. and thats with a master doc making them.

These aren't meant to even come close to replacing medics in combat, what they will do however is keep you up long enough for the real medic to get to you. As for the one button capability, You can write a quick macro to target the droid and /requestStim, then either stick it in your toolbar or bind it to whatever keys you'd like.

Stim As wont keep anyone alive long enugh to do anything, the max you'll get from these is 100 point heals, and thats absolute max. Trust me, Ive been tinkering with the damn thing since pub 8 went live. I really do belive that either this droid is not ment for any type of combat roll, or it needs to be modified by development so it can. If its not ment for combat... what is it ment for? post battle healing? healing entertainers? In both of these situations, an A pack is still too little, too late. Did I mention that this bot will not save you from an incap?

The problem with writing a macro is that every group I join, I have to give a mini lesson on what macro to write, and every group I join in, I'll have to change that macro acording to the place the bot is in in the group. Definitly not user friendly.

has anyone considered this droids effectiveness in a large entertainer group?
theres always entertainers reqeuesting heals from everyone, so i think it would make sense to have one of these in those large cantina groups.

I think it would be alot more effective for this situation, maybe pop in some entertainer modules, and a playback module...youd have yourself a find little cantina droid

dont know if someone already mentioned this i didnt take time to read EVERY single post

Just so you guys know, I made an R3 with six stim-dispensers all experimented fully on effectiveness. (In the high 90s percentage-wise, I think). I got the heal delay down to 0.6 seconds. Wouldn't take long at all to heal you this way with a macro. Unfortunately, it only holds around 160 charges. If I could just get some experimentation tapes...

Does anyone have any data of calculating the rate the droid can give heals based on the delivery rating? I took three 39 capacity, 6 delivery modules, and made them a cluster, giving 177 capacity and 18 delivery ratings.. if a rating of six gave ten seconds, and 15 gave 7 seconds, then basic match skills tell me 18 should give six seconds between.

Unless I'm wrong.

What are these stim A+ things you guys are talking about? Are they only on Test Center?

stim a+ is also known as a Adv. Stim A they are stim As made with the Adv. Componants. as for keeping you up an extra sec. if you wait until you are down to 100 HAM then yes they will do you no good however if your buffed to like 2800 HAM and your fighting an MOB whos MAX effective hit(accounting for Armor/Mods/skill tabs) is 1000 every 3 secs then check this out you fire a sec later you ge hit now your at 1800 you call for a stim (1900) three sec later your hit again (900) you call for a stim (1000) you can now take 3 hits where befor you could only take 2 and that is assuming all 3 are MAXed hits and you did NOT buff your secondaries cause they would be healing you too in this senario.

I have a droid with a delivery of 51, and a droid with a delivery of 44

the delay on the 51 droid = 1 second

the delay on the 44 droid = 2 seconds

capacity on 44 droid = 310

capacity on 51 droid = 187

with 99 point heals, to heal someone that is buffed, which will have 3k HAM, fully, would take 30 heals from this stim dispenser droid, you could do this in 60 seconds with a 44 rating droid, and 30 seconds with a 44 rating droid, however there's a capacity trade off

I'm a master doc, and unless they changed things since the last time I looked, stim-A's dont take components at all, just organics and inorganics...
