Thread: Droid Module Focus (Stimpack Dispensor): Information, discussion and bug-reporting (04/14/04)
TKH, how about this for a fix. For the "owner" it works just like any other command, you program it to heal on whatever command, "heal" for example. So when the owner says heal, it heals him.
This would be much better for the owner at least, gets rid of the targetting problem for the owner.
Now when dealing with "others," you can keep the same system (kind of crappy,) or possibly with some programing just have it so you only need to target the droid when you request the heal, then you can switch back, once the command goes out.
Either way, let the owner not need to target the droid. Possibly work in the befriend command somehow?
I take issue with several features in this bot.
1) combat is fast, I don't want to take time to select the bot, then hit /requeststimpack. one button capability please.
2) Stim A's I really can't see a use for this bot beyond someone's first week in the game. if you need it in a fight, why not just buy a level 6 combat droid? you can waist anything low level, and have a distinct advantage at mid levels, mitigating the need for a healing bot. Would the capacity for these little guys to use Bs really be so bad? As of now, I cant use this bot, its too little to late in my book, it would get in the way more than it would help in anything other than corrilian butterflys and durnis. I fail to see the developer's logic in this. Why have a droid, witch requiers a medic who can make stim Cs to load the thing, only carry As? Who benifits? medics? new players? certainly not doctors.
This droid has the potential to be the doctor's best friend. would it really be so bad to have it use B's insted of As? I would pay an arm and a leg in credits to have a bot that used Bs.
and I can't stress enugh how low powered As are. 80-90 points max. and thats with a master doc making them.

Hi guys. I've been playing around with my medic bot for a while now. When I first heard about a droid with the capability to heal, I was stoaked, I always wanted a lil' buddy to come along with me in groups, and help me heal. This bot is not the case.

These aren't meant to even come close to replacing medics in combat, what they will do however is keep you up long enough for the real medic to get to you. As for the one button capability, You can write a quick macro to target the droid and /requestStim, then either stick it in your toolbar or bind it to whatever keys you'd like.
The problem with writing a macro is that every group I join, I have to give a mini lesson on what macro to write, and every group I join in, I'll have to change that macro acording to the place the bot is in in the group. Definitly not user friendly.
theres always entertainers reqeuesting heals from everyone, so i think it would make sense to have one of these in those large cantina groups.
I think it would be alot more effective for this situation, maybe pop in some entertainer modules, and a playback module...youd have yourself a find little cantina droid
dont know if someone already mentioned this i didnt take time to read EVERY single post
Does anyone have any data of calculating the rate the droid can give heals based on the delivery rating? I took three 39 capacity, 6 delivery modules, and made them a cluster, giving 177 capacity and 18 delivery ratings.. if a rating of six gave ten seconds, and 15 gave 7 seconds, then basic match skills tell me 18 should give six seconds between.
Unless I'm wrong. ![]()
What are these stim A+ things you guys are talking about? Are they only on Test Center?
