Hey I just read that they're going to be pushing this out to live over the next 5 days. So, TK can we get them to hold this off a little until the email is actually returned with data?
I don't see them pushing this Live without the email functioning in a basic way.
I'll be updating the main post with new info on this, since it's getting work. Last night, I took a bit of a mini-vacation from testing/TC stuff (to go hunting with a buddy on Dathomir). But, here's what I found:
- The droid is now a 'charged' item. On my testing, I got it to 5/6 charges at 74% experimentation. That should mean that 8-10 is the new max. charges for this. I'm sure we'll get better numbers on this soon.
- It will 'see' survey tools for selection from either your main inventory or in any unequiped packs.
- The email is now taking about 30 min. to arrive. More testing on this will get us the exact number...I wasn't able to stick around last night to wait for them to arrive.
...more to come when I have more...

Respectfully,
If it gives just a list it will barely be used. Typical half-arsed approach providing useless 'content' :/
Just a list on Novice
Stats for random 20% per Survey Skillbox culminating in 100% at Master. THAT would be usefull.
No concentrations - that is, as mentioned, the tough part and should remain to be

Respectfully,
Actually - i think if i hit the experimental charges with a full set of experimental points - i think i could pull a 20 max out of it. There were two lines, one for rating and one for charges. I do not know what the rating is for yet, but with the charges abouthalf experimented - i got 11 droids myself in one stack. with a rating of 52 or something around those lines.
No Email Yet: EEK!
Besides just knowing the information that is returned (and confirming its accurate) one of the things I'd really like to know once the email is working is whether the information is valid at the time of launch or at the time the email is sent, or somewhere in between.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely with the time left before the publish that the email will be in *and* someone on test can actually track and catch a shift in progress to figure this out.

In my case - same planet i am currently on (naboo) sarching for mineral at 40 quality - 33 minutes 25 seconds.
This is the one thing that still gives me hope... faint hope, but hope nevertheless.
If it takes 30 minutes for the droid to return information from the planet you're on, could it be due to the fact that you're getting real information - like stats - from it? After all, it'd be pretty silly to use a survey droid that takes 30 minutes to find something that you can get from your survey tool just by opening it.
(And yeah, I understand that the programming probably doesn't care about where you are in relation to the target planet... but I'm still hoping that it means we're getting useful information out of this droid.)

Ok, I ran some tests, it looks like they got the quality backwards. I made a 21 quality 12 charge seeker and an 80 quality 7 charge seeker. The 21 quality one is taking 24 minutes and the 80 quality one is taking 51 minutes (both have same quality tools and are going to lok from tatooine). I also tried sending the 21 quality one to dantooine and it had the same time, so it appears relative locations of planets doesn't matter.
Which - would be why our un-experimented first models were so fast compared to these!
If Vertex Gems are used by Armorsmiths, it looks like only the multi-millionaire DEs on Bloodfin will be able to afford making survey droids! If people already want 20cpu, it doesn't look good for survey droids on Bloodfin at least.
Any chance it could be switched to a different gemstone that Armorsmiths don't need? Or maybe a sneaky DEV would kick off a spawn of gemstones in time for Publish 8?
