Thread: I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. Developer! Today's the day...
Any guesses why the chefs have lots of info about changes to their profession that will be in the next patch and tailors have some infor about theirs and our correspondent isn't allowed to say anything?
I know droids are complicated but come on, throw us another scrap of rotten meat.
I'm now tired of seeing less and less information FROM the red-names to us (even though they say they are trying to better communication).
All I see is more silence and more stone-walling than I EVER have in the game before (since the start of Beta 3). And...I don't really care how big/hard of a job it is for any of our community-relations to people to do their jobs. That's THEIR problem (and SOE's).
If the workload is too high, then they need to hire more people. If the issue is that the Devs won't approve info to go to the community, then Cancel I will.
Finally, for those interested, I'm not just talking about DEs. I want to know why we don't get quality feedback across the board.

hehe, 3 month's ago in a thread right after the dev's said to expect somethingin 3 months,I posted that anytime a company says "3 months" for anything, it almost always is a lie. 3 months is the usual "put it off" period because its a quarter of the year and its the standard development "buy the developers some time" trick, god knows companies I workwith all work on 3 month intervals too. Its also interesting to note they stated after 3 months, and then within that quarter after the 3 months... which is again... another 3 months... essentially someone bought themselves half a year.
Unfortunately folks, I'm making another prediction, you will see only 1 minor change more than likely like R2D2 with a gatling gun on his head or something incredibly dumb just to say they didn't lie at the END of the first quarter, not in the beginning and not anytime soon. Obviously there is a serious problem and the problem in contrast to the number of people it would appease fixing itisn't enough to take a developer or 2away from something else, like a space expansion... its simple economics.

You know the space expansion is a joke, What could it possibly be anyway xwing relived?? I can see it now we have limited the number of blaster rounds you can have to 2 due to the fact that although we released the game over a year ago and have made numerous unkept promises and want all of you to know and understand that communication is our number goal so we shut off your voice and really want you to know our database cant handle what we have now but cant tell you that because we need to spin a wondrous world of its coming, that although we have said it will be coming it has been pushed back cause the database still isnt fixed,
But thanks for you patience and believe us when we tell you we want to make as much money, i mean we want an awsome game just as much as you, ow and we here you

The post above (about posting "tomorrow") was something that I actually put up yesterday.
It didn't work yesterday (to go forward) so I guess that didn't do it.

Time travel eh.... This is supposed to be Star Wars Galaxies TK, not Star Trek; where every other episode is a time travel episode.

Oh yeah, I know TK. Just razzing ya. Personally, I put this excessive waiting time to some good use:
1. I replaced all my static droid display chassis in my shops. They were rusted beyond belief.
2. I replaced my Power Droid. The radioactive elements inthepower core whichgenerated power have long since decayed and are now inert. A stunning developmentconsidering those elements have a Half Life of 1000 years!!
3. I'm teaching my great-grandson how to place modules into sockets. Like that children's toy where the square block fits into the square hole... remember that? Well, in this case, it's the Socket module that just fits into anything. I'm trying to explain it to him, but naturally, his childlike sense of logic is just too well developed....
4. I'm writing my memoirs on good old paper with a pencil. Previous to this, I tried dictating them to my Protocol droid but he just stood there, aimlessly. After remembering he doesn't do anything, I tried saving my memoirs into a data module, but that didn't work either.
5. I figured I'd donate my old droids to a local charity, instead of my usual 10,000 credit donation. The head of the charity wiped a tear from his eye andscolded me saying, "After all these years of selfless philanthropy, why are we now beingcursed with your junky droids that do nothing!?"
6. I'm making a casket for my pending demise from old age... I felt it would have been nice to be buried in a droid chassis, but I soon realized that my body takes up more that 10 spaces, and I wouldn't be able to fit into any droid chassis. Sadly, I asked my Commando friend if he could help me out with this when the day comes. He agreed, so now I'll be enjoying my eternal rest as ashes in an Item Storage 1 module somewhere on Dantooine.

That would explain why I was not able to set my FWG5 to stun then. But I still have not found the Enterprise in any of my POI datapads yet.
