It's Thunderheart's job to understand. But that's another matter.

Alright. Things are going to progress from this point onwards, in several different directions. First and foremost, a few things need to be written down and set up.

Second, we need to wait and see what the answer to Drashk's Dev Questionaire is, so we can know where to proceed.

Lastly, Sodan has apparently shown the light in connecting the DEnet together much better than before, so we're waiting to see how that turns out as well. If it works, DE communication should increase dramatically and in a much more unified way.

Other than that, I'm off for now. Will post again soon. Enjoy mateys

I think TH mentioned with his first few "answers" to some lists, that they'll be answered in the order received. If that's the case, we've probably got a long time to wait before any feedback on this.

They may try to give droids a special 'bump' since we are (by their words) supposed to get more attention in the coming weeks than any other profession. I'm guessing that might count for something.

I guess we shall see. Wagers anyone?

But fine.. you're right, I quit. I have one month left in the game. DE has been the only thing I've cared about here and I have done, all I try to do is to see this profession reach top marks.

Woody,

I've sat back and watched the whole Droid Handler/Commander/(Insert lame name here) debate rage. I've read the pros, the cons, the rants and the innane meanderings of a few. While I didn't (and probably never will)agree with all your logic or conclusions on every topic, I found that I did at least appreciate your passion for the profession, and have got to say one thing.

DO NOT QUIT.

Nothing that is truly a labor of love was done in an instant, and even less was accomplished by quitting. Did Christopher Columbus quit because his crew thought they were going to fall off the end of the world and thought him mad? Did George Washington say, "well, guys this is too hard, lets pack it up instead of heading to Valley Forge."? Did Michaelangelo say, "you know, this ceiling really IS to big"?? It is the passion and the intelligence that you and others of the original DE's have for the profession that made me want to join it and see what it had in store. I came in full well knowing that the majority of my products had, and probably would for a long time have, limited value. No arguing about that. I still have people say to me "man I feel sorry for you", or "wouldn't want to be you" all the time as I wander around Radiant with my MDE tag proudly displayed.

WhileI agree that the present looks bleak, and that the DH/DC mess was a mostly self inflicted wound, the future I think can hold aLOTmore, but only if we continue to keep our message going out. Hang in there bud

Wood,

Are you really calling for a "Cake or Death?" poll here?

That's pretty much what is sounds like. If so, you know (I hope you do) that there's no such thing as 'unification' for any profession in the game....no matter how few people play it.

There have always been too many viewpoints, opinions, ideas and 'visions' on the DE boards for us to get a unified voice an ANY issue, save two.

1) We really liked Sintrosi as our Correspondent.

2)We didn't want a Droid Handler profession just so we could get our "Droid Invasion".

Any other topic is very likely always going to have it's different schools-of-thought.

I hate to say it.. but you are a little off with this statement- we were united on one other issue

3) Dev apology

Now that was a united DE community- geez I've been a DE a long time
