Thread: How rich is everyone?
Server: Lowca
DE Level: 0001
How long you've held this level: A week or so
How long have you been working on DE: About a month
Current Credits: 8000
Most Credits Had: 140k (100k from a friend who pitied me)
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? I sell just about everything that goes onto the Bazaar, but I can't crank them out fast enough to make any real money. Think I'll let my harvesters go to waste and just buy materials...
Are you happy you went with DE? I love droids, and wouldn't have it any other way. I won't be truly happy until it's fixed though.
DE Level: Master
How long you've held this level: 2.5 weeks
How long have you been working on DE: Took about a week to master
Current Credits: 950k
Most Credits Had: 2.2 mill
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Yes, but not with droids. I sell a few droids every now and again, but mostly just make them for fun/friends/etc. Most of the money comes from resource gathering. I could survive just as a DE if I put my mind to it.
Are you happy you went with DE? I have had a lot of fun with it, but very frustrated with the limitations/bugs/operation/etc. Some of my best times have been with dealing with other MDE in game.... they tend to be fairly social/crazy by nature it seems. I think the thing I hate most is the fact that SOE wants you to discover for yourself how things work (hence a game) but since they don't work, you don't know if it is your misunderstanding or it is broken. So a lot of time is spent spinning your wheels.
DE Level Novice DE
How long you've held this level: about 2 weeks
How long have you been working on DE: since a month into launch
Current Credits: 8000K That's right, Im buh-roke. Harvesting and supporting a house and buying materials keeps me on the edge. Thrilling!
Most Credits Had: 60K I took some time out from Master Artisan grind to get Rifleman so as to defend my honor while riding the range looking for metals and such. Made a lot of creds. All gone now, buh bye creds.
Do you consider yourself sucessful in your business? Hmmmmm. yes and no. I have no business to speak of now, but look forward to building a client base and a relationship with other DE out there. REAL DE not holo.
Are you happy you went with DE? Hell yeah! I started to play SWG because of droids, I wont rest until I can make the best droids available. I also have faith that the profession will be fixed and go on to become the most respected in the game. This and my guild are the only reasons I am still playing.
Any DEs out there on Lowca be sure to say "HI" if you see me running around.
Server: Valcyn
DE Level: Master (also master merchant/artisan)
How long you've held this level: Going on four months I believe
How long have you been working on DE: Since about three weeks after retail
Current Credits: Just over 5 million
Most Credits Had: Current status
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Very
Are you happy you went with DE? Yes and no. It has been fun and I have useful things to sell, but I've been making my money from bio-engineering (pet stims sell like hotcakes) rather than from DE. If I was a pure DE, I'd be somewhere around 2 million credits I believe. Of course, my business was supporting most of my PA's harvesters, so money went out almost as fast as it came in. I just wish they'd fix the bugs that have happened since retail, and give us the means to compete with critter handlers in the combat pet department.

Are you happy you went with DE? I like beeing a DE but when the new droids come patches and every thing ill be even more happy beeing a DE!
Server: Intrepid
DE Level: 4/4/1/4 (very close to 4/4/2/4)
How long you've held this level: About 2 weeks now. My playing has slown down as I feel disenfranchised as it has become a second job to just play so I can support my harvesters. I have quit grinding for now.
How long have you been working on DE: Since I started playing in August 2003.
Current Credits: 23k.
Most Credits Had: 70k or so.
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? No. I don't have a vendor neara well populated city. I do almost all my sales as custom order. I have a really hard time finding buyers on Naboo. I can go days without someone responding to my advertisements. Just this week I went bankrupt and was about to lose a harvester and my house (the harvetser had 38% left when I finally had the 9000k to repair it and pull it up). A single probot sale saved my butt. I try not to accept charity, and try to be fair with my customers, but I won't sell a worthy droid below 10k (ie: something with a level 5 module in it). Droids can sell, it's just that people don't know why they would want one.
Are you happy you went with DE? I generally feel like the neglected and abused child of the family when playing this game. My incentive to play is extremely low now, and given that I *have* to play it regularly to avoid bankruptcy, I wonder why I am playing at all. I probably need a partnership with a good player-mall.

DE Level: Master DE
How long you've held this level: Three weeks after release (first on server possibly)
How long have you been working on DE: entire time since then
Current Credits: 8.5 mil
Most Credits Had: 8.5 mil
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? yes
Are you happy you went with DE? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO .... great, so Im rich. Too bad money doesnt do ANYTHING in this game for a DE. What should I spend my money on? Oh oh oh ... lets buy some top-notch armor ........ for display .... ummm, in my house .... umm, cramped between the backpacks worth full of brains and the backpacks full or manipulator arms. You know, that same corner ofstcked crates I lost my couch in last month. Well, lets buy a flamethrower and a LLC and a rocket launcher and one of every weapon ever created..... boy my house is gonna look spectacular. Oh wait,Im already at 148crates inmy houses. Well, I guess I can dump 100K onthe house itself so I dont have to sweat paying rent. Wow, thats fulfilling. Hmmmm ... oh hey, lets buy more harvestors. Not that I can plant them anywhere ... lets see, two houses full of crates, two equip factories with full output hoppers ... wow I have 4 slots left !!!
The simple fact is that money is basically WORTHLESS. Nothing to spend it on that I cant get from my guild better than what someone will sell me. The ONLY reason I am saving up is so that I can buy a big fat spaceship (or station) for my guild - if that expasion ever makes it out. But you know what? I havea funny, tickling feeling at the base of my spine, and I hear this little voice screaming at the top of its tiny little lungs .... "FACTION .... the only *good* combatships will cost FACTION, not money, you fool !!!"
I may as well sink my 8.5 mil credits in Enron stock.
Server: Ahazi
DE Level: King of the Droid People
How long you've held this level: All day. It's great!
How long have you been working on DE: Oooh, that's a question about time, isn't it?
Current Credits: 770k
Most Credits Had: 820k
Do you consider yourself successful in your business?Oh yes. Not only am I never able to run through Coronet without people asking for droids, but I've also implimented an entire server-wide organization of all the DEs for the purposes of mineral gathering, price setting, general assistance, and all round artisan bottom-kicking.
Are you happy you went with DE? Sure, I guess. Would be better if we got those self-destruct modules for MSE droids and be able to put them into Protocol units. Just march one up to someone, have it shout "The odds of me liking you compared to the odds of me desiring to self destruct are Three thousand, Two hundred and Twenty-nine to 1 against!" Then watch as it blows the sad unsuspecting player away. Yes, that would be a good sight to see.

Yeah I think I'm successfull in my buisness, though I only do droids to pay maintance on houses and such
I enjoy droids and I think they will have more functionality in the future, the power droids mod sounds promising

DE Level: 2-2-0-2
How long you've held this level: I level a box every week or less and I have been workin on DE a month I think.
How long have you been working on DE: Ditto up there.
Current Credits: 500k (NOT FROM DE)
Most Credits Had: 700k (NOT FROM DE)
Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Only when i keep my vendors stocked
I currenly have a vendor with a few crafting droids and many medical droids, so far I sold one advanced medical mouse droid (stacked med modules) for 2500 and one R5 medical droid for 7k. Other then that only droids I ever sold was mouse storage and medical on the bazzar for 800 or 1k. Thats the only ones I have sold. I DONT wear my DE tag, I DO have a droid that says "tell-tesra-for-me" and I DO have a vendor with droids.
Are you happy you went with DE? I guess.. havn't gotten deep enough to know, not much you can do unless you are 4 on the first column. Stacking is okay but not as good as a single so you can have a droid with multiple things which is what most want.
