That's not the whole story.
Frankly, the reason why the Correspondent's forum is closed is for this specific reason - the book was not and is not closed on this issue. TH is still getting feedback, or haven't you read a single post he's made today?
I'm stunned that you would post something like this, knowing the damage it would do. Especially since this idea is still being worked on.

Either way, it's clear that TH doesn't listen to his correspondents, or the community as a whole. The same outcry would have occured whether or not GnomeAd posted this.

Guys - read what he's written today. He KNOWS you don't like the DH idea, and he's going to go with it to the Devs and tell them.
Look, I'm a DE too, and I'm waiting to hear this stuff as well but posting this kind of stuff only causes problems because it's completely taken out of context.

What kind of damage do you think was done when we realize that TH basically outright LIED to the entire forum-going playerbase by stating something that was patently false?
Do you not consider the amount of disrespect that takes? Drashk told him, point blank, that DEs would HATE the idea of DH....and TH misrepresented those statements wholesale.

So by your post, if I took the most optimistic projections, and assume a postive resolution to the whole DH proposal, we aren't going to have cool combat droids until the summer?
I was hanging on to DE in the hopes that things would get better in the next couple publishes but I suppose that just isn't going to happen.
It sounds like in a couple publishes I can have a CL10 protocol droid with a blaster. Count me out.

But I'm not sure I can hang on to this profession for that much longer crafting probots, med droids, and BH droids.

By the way, Delta, this is the order that these events took place.
If you re-read the posts that happened in GnomeAd's post, you will very see Drashk VERY CLEARLY state that this was NOT desired.
TH then blatantly misrepresented those comments to the forum (and not even in the DE forum area!!).
When you know one thing to be true, and then you say the exact opposite, that's called a "lie", friend.
Period. End of story.

In case you missed it, this conversation (and my discovery of it) happened a week prior to THs post yesterday. I've had this info all this time and was not going to post it. The only reason I changed my mind was that TH made a post that was, shall we say, not entirely accurate. I saw Drashk taking some heat for the decision and I knew that he was 100% innocent. Would you have preferred that I kept it quiet and let Drashk get beat up for something he didn't do? Sorry, I couldn't do that.
As for the correspondent forum, I have to tell you that what I saw was the best argument against the separate forum idea. While I only posted the few messages, the entire conversation consisted of correspondents from a few other professions slyly recommending that their profession be given the combat droids and giving recommendations on what they thought should be done with our profession. What does the entertainment correspondent or the pistoleer correspondent, for instance,know about being a DE? This is the type of thing that, quite frankly, is not the way this should be working at all. I would prefer that TH post those ideas in the profession forums and add a disclamer that they were "Under Planning" and that he just wanted to get our input. Then the correspondent could monitor the thread and provide him feedback on what we had thought of it. Nothing good comes from secrecy anddishonesty and self-service growin the dark. We all pay the same fee and should all have the same say in how this game is developed.
Not that this matters much at this point, but notice no denial from TH. No damage control either. Kind of curious either way you look at it.
There isn't anything there that needs denial or damage control.
1. I went to Drashk with what the current dev plan was (the process was transparent).
2. Drashk said no way (he clearly communicated your wishes)
3. I told Drashk what the challenges we need to over come would be (which he posted).
4. I made a casual comment in the weekly comment thread (to find out what non-DE's thoughts were).
5. People protested the change (which was loud and clear).
6. I've gone to the Dev team to urge them to re-consider.
7. Runesabre is creating a post right now which will explain all the angles to the discussion.
Drask brought the challenge to the community and its being discussed.
I brought the challenges to the rest of the community and its being discussed.
Its a sound plan and nothing was hidden.

I have to agree there. This discussion is good and seems to be getting somehwere. (decent ideas so far anyway).

Delta you must be kiding right, go read the thousand upon thousand posts that pertain to this, the promises, the lies, you think some godly trust was broken cause a statement off your deep dark cor boards were posted so everyone could see exactly what kind of crap we are paying monthly for?
Get a clue and go back to your scout community.
Frankly nothing we say matters here anyway as is blatently obvious by the utter garbage fed to us in the 5 or 6 posts that we have been blessed by a red name with.
