Ok, so let me get this straight, you're complaining that the profession is broken. Thats fine, lets fix the profession. Adding combat droids is not a fix, its an addition. It does nothing to fix current bugs, it does nothing to give us differentiable products, all it does is gives you a little treat to keep you happy. I'm all for fixing the bugs and getting the profession up to par with other crafting professions, but I don't see how combat droids fits in there.

So you want to be a Bio-Engineer/Creature Handler, which is exactly what this idea would turn us into, minus any of their usefulness, of course.

No, I don't want to be a Bio-Engineer or a Creature Handler. I want to be a Droid Engineer. A Droid Engineer who can use all the droids he creates. If 2 or 3 of our droids are "too powerfull" for the masses and a proper certification system is impossible, then so be it. But *I* want to be able to use them. If I wanted to be a Bio-Engineer and sell to a Handler class I would have become a Bio-Engineer in the first place.

How about something simple

Droid engineer 4 trees

Novice ( no change )

Droid Armor and weapons tree ( novice to master level 1 to 6 same as in game )

Droid useage Tree ( box 1 +5 level, box 2 +1 droid, box 3 +5 level, box 4 +1 droid ) this means at box 4 you could have 2 probotsor 1 probot and 2 DZ, or 1 lvl 20 droid.

Droid Utilities Tree ( all the mods come from here, repair, crafitng stations ect )

Droid Blueprints tree ( self explanitory )

MASTER DE ( all the new combat chassis, everything it allready is, and +10 droid level woot 3 probots.. or a level 30, or a level 25 and a DZ, or a level 20 and a probot.. )

Yes you might get dabblers to go to box 3 or 4 in Droid Usage... but hmm 15 points for novice artisan, 14 more for the engineer, 6 more for novice de, and 12 to 14 more for DROID USEAGE.. thats 47 to 49 points used to be able to control an extra probot.. or 1 !!! level 20 droid..... less combat templates have room to spare an average of 48 points for this.. compared to how much eiser it would be to get the EXACT same thing from Creature handler, that many comabt classes allready have the pre reqs for at only 20 points more.

All the "pure crafter DE's" will suffer no change..other then product to make for those who dabble in the Droid Usage tree....

All the "Combat minded DE's" will suffer NO LONGER as they can accually have more of an active life.. that they have been due since beta..

for those who think level 30 is too low.. make master DE give +15.. for those who think level 30 is too high make master DE give +5.. or.. keep it like I posted it.. the average of what people have allready agreed is a nice fair level.. and leave it at that.. 1 level 30 droid.. is less then half of what a MASTER Creature handler can use.. they dont have to make them, they simply have to find them and tame them...
