Thread: Phase II Jedi Crafting Quest Bad news for crafters!

Did anyone notice the component that does not require sith resources? I'm going to make 10 of them and see if I can complete w/o using the loot.
there isn't one. it requires two sub-components and those subcomponents require sith resources.
On a side note: I collected all the loot resources collected from 2 combat characters during the course of their quests, and it was only enough to craft 2 items. This seems to mean to me that it's going to require the support of 5 to 10combat players to get the resources needed for a single crafting character. Either that or you need a combat player to grind out extra sith spawns for you for quite a large number of hours.
In terms of these things being available on the market place: I've been watching the bazaar terminals. there were lots of these resources available there, but within a day of the shift to phase 2, they ALL dissappeared. the only thing available on the open market now are the two resources that aren't needed for phase 2.
Finally, in terms of the "competition" for the reward. This is not a competition of skill of any sort. The only way I can see to get the highest quality items is to craft the items that have themselves as optional sub-components (assuming that that will improve the quality of the item). which means you need lots of excess resources beyond the 200 resource units that the quest requires. this basically means that the player who collects the most resources is going to win the competition aspect. pretty dumb if you ask me.
no. I'm looking at the details now that the phasehas shifted and I think this whole crafting quest is brutal, unfair, and unbalanced when compared against the ones that the combat players have to do. it's a slap in the face. if we are going to depend so heavily on other professions to even have a remote chance of doing our quests, then the other professions should have the same dependencies. and if the reward is only going to go to the players who collect the most resources, then the combat players should be granted the option to do their quests an infinite number of times and only the combat player who does the most should get their reward.
thatthe crafters should get the shaft like this while the combat players just have to engage in a fairly trivial grind that has nocross dependenciesis so unbalanced its just ridiculous so far as I am concerned.

my understanding is that you will get the unlock but you will not get the reward. I'm also guessing that since there are 5 different items you can turn in and it tracks 6 different "best" categories (one for each item and then one "overall" category) that actually 6 rewards will be given out. But I'm not sure.
More like 12 rewards, 6 for quality and 6 for quantity.
