I read these forums on a regular basis, and have made a number of posts that I feel are constructive.

Why don't I post much at this point? Well, for the following reasons:

  1. I don't see my posts as having a lot of impact. Spent a lot of time writing up constructive posts on modules for droids, possible implementation of a cert system if we have to have that for combat droids, etc. I get no indication that these ever actually will be acted on. When I see some sort of action being taken because of these posts, then I'll start posting again.

  2. All of the things I have to say about DE have already been said. I don't feel the need to spam the boards with the same idea over and over again.

  3. I don't want to just post rants. I feel really let down by SOE about the complete lack of dev attention to the DE profession... but if I start ranting, I'll get banned from the boards or something...

When we start seeing some dev attention, I have a feeling that the numbers will change significantly. Until then, though, I wouldn't expect the majority of players to post - they see the devs ignoring the DE forum and profession, and don't see the point of posting.

Sintrosi,

Can you find out what the Master DE percentage is among those who've mastered a profession?

Perhaps one reason the DE posting percentage is so small is because Architects are picking up Novice DE so they get the Droid Storage Compartment schematic? If this is the case, those folks wouldn't necessarily care about the profession, so they wouldn't visit our forum or post here.

I can tell you why only 9% of Droid Engineers are masters- Being a Master DE is utterly pointless!

I'm 3304 almost 4304

I can already make all the useful droids available. The only thing I can't make is the "medical 3PO". The entire customization line is of littleutility unless you're into colorful metal furniture. Experimentation doesn't work. Why bother?

I intend to relyprimarily on the 10% factory XP for my remaining XP because 4304 is more than adequate for the current state of P0ke- er, Star Wars.
