Thread: I am so pissed off.
/agree
This was as long as I was willing to wait, the profession gets next to nothing in this patch so I'm dropping DE as of tonight. I really thought the profession would be much more enjoyable than it is/has been, and I think I've been patient enough as it just is NOT fun to be a DE anymore. Commando looks cool =)
I am so goddamn pissed right now. Logging into the game and seeing Creature Handlers making 150k per f*cking Kaduu and Carrion Spat. Alot more for the other mounts.
Yeah, my jealousy is petty but I am sick of this. First they nerf my probot and give CHs the business, and now they just give them more business.
I tell you what, they better come up with something amzaing that makes me more than 8 goddamn **edit**ing thousand credits an hour.
**edit**. I am ready to quit this **edit**ing game.
Agree 100%
Do you think, perhaps they really do hate us?
Do you think, they bit off more then they could chew when they created the class and now don't know how to fix/repair us?
Do you think, they just don't care?
Sigh... yes I do ![]()
Welcome to Creaturewars, where Driods are meaningless-broken-useless and CH rules the universe.

Master DE
I am a Master Creature Handler from Intrepid. As I am reading through some of these posts, I am to understand that only one droid or one pet (for non-ch) can be called out at a time?
I do feel your guy's pain on this matter. Especially since it seems to me that pro-bots have been made near worthless. 58 max damage? Makes little sense to me especially when I have a pet that does a 100 times more than that.
I am not surprised the going price for mounts at the moment, I am sure the price will drop though, but 200-400k is a bit much. I was thinking more along the lines of 20k heh...
Yeah, you guys got shafted pretty hard, what's the deal?...
I hear ya Sin. It's just how these things work though, the bastards price way too high and slowly dwindle em, like Architects.
Soon buyers will figure out that they *can* get the mounts for what they're worth (by worth, I mean time invested in getting them), and that will be that. I just can't wait to buy my 5K Kaadu, then go up to a guy who bought his for 400k when it first came out and say, "Wow, you bought 80 Kaadus??"
And then watch him cry. Because he deserves it if he'll pay such rediculous prices.

To be fair, could the devs really have foreseen these ridiculous prices? I sure didn't.
Considering that the Devs can't seem to forsee any reaction to the changes they've made to CH, such as the popularity CH garnered as soon as non-CH could control pets, or the fact that no one has to master CH to enjoy 99% of the benefits of the profession, I really doubt that the Devs care about the havoc mounts are causing and going to cause in the future.
I could've (and probably did) state back a few months ago that a halfway release of mounts and vehicles were going to cause trouble. If vehicles were released simultaneously to mounts, then there'd be some balance and control to the destruction of the economy. Instead, all that is happening is the rich get richer for their no overhead, easy to get pets/mounts while crafters get poorer and poorer for their high overhead, costly to create objects.
And folks argue that we shouldn't become a pet/hybrid class. heh.
That's the ONLY way we gonna get da luvvin', baby.
Ah, well. TH just posted that this weekend they're gonna release a lot of info about the upcoming profession fixes and revamps. I'll hold off on the poison kool-aid until then.
For what it's worth, I totally back you guys. It was a close choice between weaponsmithing and droid engineering for me. I picked weaponsmithing but have always toyed with the idea of totally gimping my combat to nothing and taking up droid engineering as well ... though as it is, keeping track of what's gone on and how the profession has been treated I will steer clear for the time being.
I'd much rather have a droid as a companion than a pet, but as it stands it's just a no brainer as to which is preferable, now that's it's exclusive. I'd think at the very, very least they could make Advanced Probots on par with the best non-CH pet (even though really I'd think it should be better but hey). This is not unbalancing in any way as people can already use these non-CH pets so it's not granting anything new. It can't be that hard an implementation, because it just requires altering numbers for the base build. Very little work, very little game balance issue (none I'd say) and gives at least a competing product. It'd be a lightning quick hotfix. All things being equal I know I'd buy a droid over a pet - if they were of the same abilities.
Ah well. I truly wish you guys the bst of luck trying to get anything out of the devs.
