You and I both know there are no video card problems..its not that at all.

C'mon

Of course I may well be wrong, but its hard to lurk without a video card. maybe he's busy, I'm sure thats it.

I don't suppose you could post what categories the Combat-Capable Droid Cluster uses for discerning quality, could you? (OQ, Conduct, etc). The screenshot of it cut off that part of the schematic info.

Oh, and the redundant power supply is perdy!

bah, didn't catch that, I'm done for tonight but I'll see about getting a screenshot tomorrow sometime

and no conspiracy theories on my thread please, lets keep this one on topic and civil...

The one problem with editing posts is I always seem to start the edit out the same as the original... don't like the sound of it.

Not knowing the full facts yet, but am I reading that to get to where we are now (approx CL10) has just got a lot more complicated (and therefore expensive to customers)

This is an improvement? Experimentation aside, is this the bottom line?

I just want to be told the truth.

That's what I am gathering.

I really want to see the results of an actual Probot so we can compare.

To be honest, I'd be very surprised if they weren't very close - why else would they have told us to stock up on Probot deeds before the patch? If the Devs had Drashk make a post like that, and then it leaves us with tons of sub-par droids, I'd actually be rather upset.

It would almost be worth it, though, if we got some signifigant change - but as you so simply put, it seems that we are in the same place we are before, it just got a lot more complicated to get there.

I think what it means is a Master should have no problem building a high (CL10) combat droid ...but a sub-master will not produce a identical product.

If this introduces more complexity to them, so be it. If Armor hasn't been touched (hopefully), we actually have a really nice product to sell since it can be repaired easily.

I think the point isn't just that they are getting more complex, but also more costly. I'm still anxiously awaiting a new probot schematic, but I'm assuming there will be a way to shove six combat modules into one, which means twelve additional components (six combat modules, with six droid brains - one each).

Lets see how that works out (without armor, for the sake of argument).

OLD PROBOT

Chasis - 8 sub-components (and sub-sub-components)

Droid Brain

TOTAL : 9 sub-components

NEW PROBOT

Chasis - 8 sub-components

Droid Brain

Droid Combat Modules - 6, with 1 droid brain each = 12

TOTAL : 21 sub-components

That's for the same product we had before. Again, we haven't seen the updated Probot schematic, so I may be totally off the mark. If I am correct, however, the complexity, cost, andinventory requirements just got much steeper.

The droid repair kits are great in general, but the sub-components are just too much, IMHO - not to mention the fact that it will take some time for the playerbase to adjust to their usage. It's also another set of consumableitems for people to carry around, and with people already schleping food, drink, spice, weapon power-ups, batteries, medicines...the list goes on, and it's going to be hard to convert people to carrying yet another set of items around.

I went back and read the patch notes again, and I don't see the "you can have one creature pet and one droid pet" out at once change that was written about in one of the "what's coming up" threads. If this does happen, I do see the market for droids increasing, obviously. And it would be worth it for them to carry the stim packs and damage packs (though still won't be enough for me to make them).

In spite of whatever happens with the repair kits, it's still very clear that the cost of making Probots is going up - and if the above "pet and droid" feature doesn't make it, I don't see a lot of people jumping on to the droid bandwagon at the cost they are going to have to be sold for. I hope they do - as all I make are Probots at this point - but letting us repair what we already have isn't going to be seen as a Droid Invasion by the general public - it will quickly become as much of a joke as the "Un-crackdown" was.

Hmm, again without full knowlege its hard.

But i will say if this is true, and its more complex to make, then it will cost a whole lot more.

Now, if people didn't want them before....

BUT there is the healing aspect..and you have to admit a healable Probot is a respectable droid

BUT can it hold 6 modules? I promise that if the R3 is better than a probot in combat, I will never never make one. I will just refuse. It is just wrong, Let the crafter crowd make them, they have no ethical values anyway..nor Morals come to think of it.

All I know now is if I try to sell R3's they go for 46k each no problem, people begging me to make them fast.

What now is it's value.no bloody idea.

Mix and match? Yo! The pure crafers must be almost orgasmic over this. Probably, not almost.

Where the heck is our correspondent?

Audio, I think you misread Drashk. He said to stock up on Probot chassis, not deeds. The link to the post is here:

See, this is my worst-worst fear...that the R3 will actually be better in terms of damage (because it can hold six) but obviously has less HAM and the Probot will have lower damage, but the higher HAM because it has less module slots...

Okay, time for bed. No more speculation tonight...

Hehe, nope, read it quite clearly - in my other posts today I have specified both, but in this thread I guess I didn't. In any case, Drashk said :

"On a sidenote, I was informed that everyone might want to start stocking up on Probot Deeds and Chassis now, in preparations for Publish 7. The resource cost inadvertantly will have to go up, because of the way the slots are alloted and how the combat modules are made."

Actually, glad you mentioned it - this leads me to the assumption that possibly the chasis will now require combat modules as well - meaning the regular schematic for the deed won't change, maybe 4 go in the chasis and 2 go in the deed...

Oops, there I go speculating again

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!

Please revamp the graphics for us!
Please pleasepleaseplease please please?

I am so fed up at looking at a datapad full with identical cartridges and deeds that are named differently.
And it makes my head spin and eyes burn too...

As if it wasn't tough enough to see what's what before, here's a few more cartridges.

*pout*

Oh! Drifted from the topic didn't I? ... *smirk*
