My God, how dense could I be!

Forgetting to add "That's too difficult to code" would be like making a Star Wars MMO without Droids....and no one would ever do that, right?

One can only try, perhaps we need some humour, even if it is of the Fawlty Towers variety.

Actually, you remind me of Basil, in a caring and thoughtful kind of way. I just wanted to share that with you HeHe, gotta love ....

It seems to me that we should be looking for solutions that we, the people who play characters in the game with DE skills, can implement. What can we, other than quitting SWG (although its a valid option, not one I suggest)do to get the Devs to pay us the kind of attention we deserve. They have met about 15% of my expectations for DE. Its obvious they have implemented the Corrsepondent position as a band-aid and dont take even it seriously enough. It *could* be useful, but its not. So whats left? As I expressed in another thread, there is one thing we can do that just might get their attention...

Drop DE. Everyone who cares about DE, drop it. Leave the profession to the holo-grinfers and those who think they can take advantage of the suddenly reduced population of DE. Look, every time one of them calls up the Profession Metrics and see's that DE is still populated by what they feel is an "acceptabel" amount, it reinforces their belief that they are doing okay. Yeah, there is usually high drama on the Forums, but only, what? 2% of the game visits the forums? Not nearly enough to care about. But if the people who poulate the forums, the people who put forth time and energy to be he best they can, drop the profession....then they will notice. The server population will notice. They will notice the quality and availability goin down, and the prices going up as the greedy move in.

There are other fun things to do in SWG. Take up BE as your crafting prof. Or Armorsmith (there can never be enough AS....well, not until composite sells for a reasoable price of 100k a suit or so). Stockpile your DE resources, bag them up with all your components. Make yourself a half dozen deeds for your own personal use, and drop the profession. The key is not just no longer making droids, its affecting their Metric Reports. If the numbers come out and they see numerical proof that DE are dropping, they will be much more likely to do something about it.

That answer has been provided before, but the majority that was pushing for the hybrid proposal simply ignored it or wrote it off as incorrect.

In a nutshell, here's why it was inbalanced: when Sodan first presented his proposal, I was an MDE, MA, had RS4, and was only missing the combat tree to become a Master Carbineer (I later dropped RS4 to become a MC). Had the hybrid proposal gone thru and been implemented, I could have just sat back and received a significant increase in combat-effectiveness (via droids), without doing a single thing! The devs, however incompetent I feel they are, are not going to let that happen . . .

Nice to see you have reverted to your old ways, and I was fool enough to think you had changed.

I'm really glad to don't seize - you'd have to take medication for that.

Though how convulsions relate to the quality of constructive suggestion on these boards, I'm not sure; but then again, if the Devs give us no materials with which to be constructive with it wouldn't surprise me if many DE's had head injuries from banging their heads against their keyboards.

I never cease to be amazed at the amount of people on these boards who proclaim them negative, then start in-fighting and insulting fellow DE's who may have a strong opinion because of the strength of their convictions, not the opinion itself.

At least those who express strong opinion are inon the actual discussion, as opposed to those who contribute nothing but a critique of the reactions players have to being slapped around in the dark.

[Edit: Wow, looking at the "Star" Wars going on in here, it appears the Devs have done the impossible...since they can't bring droids to "Star Wars", they brought "Star" Wars to the Droid's Engineers. A scheme worthy of Vader himself ]

Yep I know that - its called 'the benefit' of being a full blown Hybrid MDE, the proposal wasn't about that only, it was to let other non-MDEs get use of the higher level droids.

That has nothing at all to do with lack of balance. Can a Chef eat his own food? Is it virtually free? Oh yes it is.
