Just got back from vacation, here's info for another server:

DENet in place? Sort of. Got a list, but was only used a couple times.

Right on...and still it builds. I'm glad to hear that this is moving forward. Soon, other servers can enjoy the goodness that is the Ahazi DENet.

Primarily, you need to get a running list of any/all DEs on your server. Once you get the word spread that a DEnet is starting on your server, you can usually employ other DEs (on the list you build) to aid with recruiting and building the list.

From there, I usually recommend that you try to have a meeting with the DEs on the list to discuss how to best utilize the DENet to all DE players' benefit.

This includes: sharing resource spawn info, discussing bugs and 'gotchas', talking price, etc.

In the short-term, you need only worry about trying to get a good running list of the active DEs.


Soon, I'll be posting resources on the DE boards that admins and others can use to make the process of running a DENet easier and faster. I find that I can do a pretty good job of running Ahazi on only about 10 min. per day. It doesn't take long to forward any DENet mails I get.


Note: You will want to take the time to setup your cut, copy and paste commands in the SWG Options window. I'll have more details on this for those that need it when I post my other DENet admin resources.

Hey there, I assume you are wanting a chat Chanel created? and constant communication?

Sounds Good, i had something simalar to that in the early days of DE, but most of my old contacts either dropped it or arent playing anymore. I would be happy to work on something like this. Biggie, if you need help let me know.

No, not necessarily. In an admin wanted to make a chat channel on his/her server, the surely could. I do not believe that these are persistent, however, so they aren't as useful.

Constant communication isn't really called for, which is why a list (from which to do mass DENet mailings) is usually a better way to go. It takes me about 10 seconds to either create, or forward, an email to the entire list when I copy/paste it from my /notepad.

It would help to know your exactly player name ("Biggie"?) and server.

Thanks for stepping up....it's greatly appreciated.

Make sure to keep an eye out for my DENet 'resources' post (coming soon) that will have hints, tips, tricks and whatnot on how you can most easily admin the list.

Thanks for stepping up. I'm checking with Biggie now to see if he wants to take this on. I wasn't quite sure from the post he made.

When I find out, I'll let you know whether or not you're getting 'the call'.
