I actually thought about this some more of thought of a possible reason.
We all know that the combination and % of the resource is what lends you too your final assembly %, which is where you start your experimentation.
For this example, let's just use the number 25%
Yet what if that number isn't really just 25%? What if it is say 25.82%
Now remember this is all speculation.
Now what if a "Great success" Adds say .10-.20 to that 25.52% giving you 25.62%- 25.72%
Then what if an "Amazing Success" adds say .20 - .30 to that 25.52%giving 25.72%- 25.82%
Yet the game rounds down to 25% either way, so it appears there is no difference between the 2.
Yet what if you add food and tapes? Possibly, on a "high" Amazing roll, you may get to 26%
This explains things perfectly in my book, especially why it would be so hard to recreate. While you may get an "Amazing" role, it may have been a low one. It also explains why in my case hundreds of tries wont ever give me a better module. Perhaps my 25% is actually 25.10% and NOTHING will get me up to 26%
Speculation, but it makes sense to me.
