Thread: If you could add ONE droid to your schematics, what would it be?

You want continuity within the time frame? Ok, remove everyone playing a Zabrak! Every single one! Go watch those movies again, look around, NO Zabraks Anywhere, none, nada,.. why, because you only see them in Episode I, and that single Zabrak was so foreign to the been-everywhere, seen-everything Jedis that they had to refer to Darth Maul as "IT". Watch it again mr. continuity. While you're at it start removing individuls from buying probe droids, you think the empire is going to sell them to individuals? what about the 4 to 1 imbalance of Rebels vs. Imperials too? How about the fact any Joe schmoe can go visit the Emperor or the Rebel leaders, even tho it took 1/2 the Imperial fleet, the destruction of a planet and the combined efforts of a Jedi Knight and assorted Imperial spys and tracking devices to even catch a glimpse of a Rebel base.
While I was disucssing storyline continuity, because a lot of players think combat droids were owned by humanoids in the Star Wars universe, and they were infact not. I was also taking about game balance issues.
My example was based on giving everyone the ability to use a combat droid. Which would turn the game from Star Wars to Digimon. Or make current CH's cry for a nerf bat, because ittakes way more time in game to gain the experience to tame a mauler then it does for Joe Schmoe to do some missions and buy a combat droid, which in my example if it was a Droideka (like many want) would be superior against the Mauler.
I then explored the idea of adding a certification system for combat droids, but who would get it. An already powerful class like Commando or BH making them even more powerful? Or Droid Engineers, which in effect would change them from an Aritsan profession to a combat profession under the Artisan guise. In effect if you gave it to DEs making them CDHs (Combat Droid Handlers) it would become the FOTM until nerfed back to its profession status DE currently is.
So since you like to flame respond to my post that you clearly did not read or comprhend everyword, I'll ask you this.
Zabraks do they throw the game out of Balance? - No it's just an avatar
Probe Droids do they throw the game out of Balance? - No, not now that it's changed -- Oh, oh and why did they change it? Because everyone could easily get a 3100HAM droid with 40% resists given little effort.
Rebs vs. Imps 4 to 1? - Yes it is unbalanced but how would you change it, force people to join one profession or the other. You can't even come back with that statement as it is impossible to do anything about.
Joe Schmoe can see any character he wants throws the game out of Balance? - NO!
And your last statement about Alderaan and Yavin blah blah blah... That was a movie created to make money and entertain, this is a game created to make money and entertain. Futile statement really, look at it this way. GL created the movies and he allowed this game to be created, so since he is the creator of SW, SWGis fine by him.
If you knew that I was referring the jest of my statements to game balance, then you would not need to have flamed me.
I think IG-88 was had a cameo (spelling?) in the newer version of 'A New Hope.'
sry for the double post!
IG-88(B) is in ESB all versions. It's one of the 5 Bounty Hunters contracted to find the Millenium Falcon and capture Han Solo. Along with Boba Fett, Bossk, 4-Lom and Zuckuss.
