Thread: If you could add ONE droid to your schematics, what would it be?
"I have 3 post nerf probots. 1 prenerf. My prenerf can just about solo a 10k ham BH mark. My post nerfs, I send 3 in a row, get him to about 95% health."
And that's exactly why they nerfed it
While HR droids are cool they are probably far to wide in scope for the game because they could in theory do anything (buteveryone would expect it to be an assasin/bodyguard like Guri was)
Yea on second though, I would love to do a 1000 factory run of a army of Guri's ![]()
Kamayyk
Master Artisan
DE 4-3-4-4
I'd like a schematic for a Binary Load Lifter that actually lifts something. ![]()
Cheers,
Those flying Hunter-Killer units from the terminator movies.
Naturally, they'd also count as DE mounts ![]()
Fanta Shokata!
Roger Rogers, but only if I can call out more than one at a time, like 3 maybe, otherwise, Droidekas.
The number One requestI get from customers and potential customers, "Do you have any COMBAT droids?"

And your polite response should be. Go watch all the movies (namely episode IV-VI) and see what humanoids in them have personal combat droids? Answer: None... The closest would be 4-LOM and Zuckuss, though they are more partners then anything.
Combat droids are no better then combat pets, that most non-CH's are sick of seeing. It would not contribute to the Episode IV-VI theme in which we are playing.
Droideka? - Out of the question. It's Rebs vs. Imps in this game. Last time I checked no one belonged to the Trade Federation, or Nym's faction. The only reason Nym has Droideka is because the planet his base is on happened to have Droideka Factories, and Nym got them reprogrammed as guards/patrol.
T1000 or other Terminator droids? - Yeah, ok... /sarcasm off
The ONLY way combat droids would work inSWG and contribute to theme. Would be to cost an extreme amount of credits, or have the chance of going berserk/becoming independent of its owner and leave or attempt to kill you. How and where would you even implement a certification system for this? Because I can tell you every CH will cry nerf if there isn't. Bob the 'Expert Hairstylist' has a Droideka and spent a few casual hours to get it. Joe the standard 3/2/0/0 CH, with hisGraul Maulerthat took quite a while to get to and lots of DBs on Dathomirbefore finding andtaming a baby. Bob dislikes Joe and attacks with his 11K HAM Droideka. Joe sends out his 9K HAMMaulerto defend, but thespeed and higher HAMof the Droideka prove no match for Joe and his slowMauler andthey both die. You can imagine how pissed Joe would be that he got beat by a n00b, while he spentmore time getting his character to it's current state then Bob did. This has nothing to do with tactics either, the only tactic is to run or die. So again how do you implement a certification system? Who gets deemed able to use what Combat Droid. Bounty Hunters? Commandos? Rifleman?Droid Engineers? If it was DEs then it would no longer be an artisan profession. The others? Aren't BH, Commandos and the like powerful enough in combat. How about a new profession? Combat Droid Handler? Now we have CHs and CDHs, turning the game into Pet Wars x2
In conclusion, a possibly catastrophic(idioticIMHO)idea to add combat droids.
BTW there are some in the game already. Join the Imps and buy 3 Dark Troopers, and you will have 3 Combat Droids out ![]()
A consumable droid that you could fire off and let it locate the best WP for a specific resource in the area. Give it charges, and have it be one-shot - the way that bounty hunter droids are supposed to work.
Give them to low level DEsand give them a low resource cost, so these can earn cash for low-level DEs who want to churn them out.
Give them a failure rate - the droid was out surveying when it was eaten by a Krayt, for example.
