I have a simple sugestion forprinting. To make a good copy of your superb reference guide, copy and paste into WORD then print. I did it section by section. I only recently dicovered this method, after printingcrummy copies off my browser. It may seem obvious to you, but I'm sure others don't always think of this. This would make sense for the armorsmith guide and other guidestoo.

Excellent guide! This will help so much in what is my first elite crafting profession. Much appreciation to the author/any DE's that have helped compile this resource.

Thanks

In the part about grinding to reach higher skill levels, I think it would be alright to get an Inspiration buff before you begin to grind. With the 10% increase to XP for every sucessful build, it helps in the long run.

The entire guide needs a complete overhaul at this point. I'm going to try and give ita fresh coat of paint and give it a spray of that 'new' speeder scent, shortly after I am furloughed. It will more then likely take me a few weeks to do the full upgrade/revision.

With some fo the forum changes, I may need to scrap the original thread, due to posting size limits.

Any suggestions, additions, and data would really be appreciated. Especially current maximum Health on all droids, a new damage to rating formula, and anything else of value.

A entertainer buff gives only 5% bonus, they changed that but didnt change the text
(tested with weapon/combat xp)

Probot Max HAM 3200
The Basic Probot has room for 3 modules and 1 armor module. The Advanced Probot has room for 5 modules and 2 armor modules. Both models are combat ready, however at least 1 combat module is required to produce more than 1 point of damage per attack. The Max damage range for a basic model is 147 - 155 and 182 - 191 for the Advanced model.

R3 Unit Max HAM 4500
The Basic R3 Unit has room for 3 modules and 1 armor module. The Advanced version has room for 6 modules and 2 armor modules. The Max damage of the basic model is 135 - 150, while the Max damage for the Advanced model is 160 - 170. The R3 Unit can fight in Melee and Ranged Combat.

Does anyone know wether the given values are still valid post CU? And if not do Adv. Probots still cause more damage than Adv. R3s?

Looking around on my server I only saw a "combat rating", which was about 600 for adv. R3s and about 438 for adv. probots. Plus adv. R3s have the better armor.

Those HAM values are not correct anymore. I'm not sure of the max values, but you may want to check the threads. I know it's been discussed to great length what the HAM and new damage multipliers are.

Ive sold some of my astromech droids without droid data modules. Can they stll be programmed with an unprogrammeddroid command module? (what a mouthful)Also, how important is the droid data module anyway? Most Pilots probobly don't run factories very often and the datapad stores alot of factory schematics. Ive been putting two lvl 3 droid ITEM storage modules( to get 10 item storage, as I cant find lidium extr.ore and a combat module in the advanced R4. I hope i hav'nt cheated anyone without the droid data modules.

Those droids will not work for pilots at all.

An Astro Droid REQUIRES a Data module, it can't hold any programs without it.

I would give a refund to anybody that you sold such a droid to without a Data Module.

To be even more specific, the level of the data module determines the astromech cert level. A level 1 module makes it a level 1 astromech, etc. For the most part DO NOT experiment on the data modules, as it's pretty easy to bump them up to the next level w/o realizing it. So, your astromech you thought was level 2 is actually level 3, and the pilot can't use it yet. For the level 1-4s, I usually make a basic R4 or R5 with just the data module. Level 5s and 6s, I'll make a droid with data and item storage, since they'll be used longer. You can usually get by with just a basic R2 or R3, unless it's a special order and your customer wants more than the 2 modules.

Lidium Extr Ore just spawned on Shadowfire!! 6-3-05 Tatooine and Dantooine seem to have the same spawn. So the lvl 6 Item store is possible for me. Thanks for the tip on the early astromechs, I've been selling alot on the bazaar with the item storage but maybe they dont use them that long and the data module is all they need. I'll try it out without.
