Send a PM to TH and see. He's said several times that a lot of the correspondants got their position simply because they took the initiative and asked. If they want you, they'll take you, if not then they won't. That simple.
Personally, you were the first person I thought of to take over when I read the job was being vacated. A lot of us here want you to do the job it seems, so you've got to decide if you want to do it. If you do, stop wasting time and throw your hat in the ring

I think TK421 is a good choice to be our new correspondent .
But i have no hope, not a single DE Correspondent has been listened by the Devs ...

It's for that very reason why I'll be surprised if TK gets the job... although I think he's very capable of doing it. The scene from A Few Good Men comes to mind, you know... the "you can't handle the truth" scene.
I'm not sure who you're saying I'd be potraying in that scene Virt.I don't know if they'd have me or not, to be honest. Part of me thinks that the DEA/DENet thing is enough like being a Correspondent anyway that they'd figure..."Well, he's already basically doing it, so why not".
On the Breakdowns™: Those were associated (wrongly) with a "rant" from me. That's not always the case. I use that posting style (of answering more every phrase or two directly) because I want to be sure to respond to THAT point specifically. I don't like to try and reference another's comments 2/3 of a page down below in prose (yeeach).I don't want people to think a Breakdown relates to a negative thing. It's formatting, not content or 'message'. I've given good Breakdowns and bad both. Too much has been made about this already. It's just the way I post (for ease, basically).
To everyone:
I am very much flattered by the nomination. I see a lot of people already, that I respect, stepping up and getting behind me even before I've said that I was interested in the position. To be honest, I'm a bit on the fence (though I'm leaning towards giving it a shot).
The thing I'mmore than abit concerned over is DEA / DENet(s):
Woody and I have worked to build whatever they are to a point that they will hopefully stay around for a long time. I want that to continue and have enjoyed being a positive force in our community, along those lines. I would think it possible for me to stillbe involved but I hate the idea of it suffering when no one is 'watching the store' (cause I'm busy doing Corr. stuff).
As stated, I'm not yet 100% decided one way or another to accept the job. I would want it done (and would want to do it) in a way that made the best, positive impact for all of us. I would want to be a worthy successor to both Sintrosi and Drashk, both for you and for the Dev team.
Since there seem to be some out that see in me the qualities that might make that happen, I'm happy to continue doing what I can and move droids forward (with the genius constructiveness that the DE boards always bring to bear).
At this point, I guess what would help me to decide is to know (from the Devs) if they would consider my input worthwhile as a Correspondent. If they don't want me there, there's no point in pushing too hard for it.
Thanks again all. You know I'll keep the vibes for more funky droid goodness. .....always.

Well i dropped DE but i certainly hung in as long as most. Tk would be my choice i just hope he takes his old attitude rather then the new touchy feely. Frankly from what i have seen so far of the NEW changes, its a bunch of nerfs to the probot and very lame so far. If this droid invasion is any indication of whats in store for the game GOD HELP US ALL.
Good luck Tk, unfortunatly as good a job as i think you will do at coro, i feel exactly the same spin of no content and empty promises will continue to be the way of the De passed down from the almighty Thunder.
