lol, I sell R5s with item and 1 station for 20k. R2's usually end up around 50k

Im going to be adding 10k to every droid that has item storage if its avoids scans in patch 6. I may adjust it higher depending on response.

Wow... I should reconsider my prices.... based on this Im cleraly selling too low

Ellesa

And this weekend im going to reprice every droid I sell and move them up 10-30k. I think i've been a little too low for too long, just unlike woody, I dont get the impulse buyers passing through coronet. people have to stumble across my shop, usually rebels/imperials on there way too and from PvP. Talus is a nice place, but its not exactly the commerce center of the galaxy.

as to other comments. stacking 2 level 3s to make a 6 is going to stay. Whats changing is the clusters stacking infinitately, and clusters going into general harnesses. Starting this week, MDE will mean something. sure there are droids out there already, but with turnover in players a lot of them will disappear. Although im glad hologrinding is going away, I think we're going to find a sharp dip in sales without them.

we should have an Ahazi DEA meeting soon, now that the dust has settled, and patch 6 is going in, we should really find out whose left.

actually, I'm doing great getting customers on Talus. But myself, and the other major players in the city all have advertising droids that advertise the fact that we have vendors in our city (which is 1500m away from the imperial outpost). We leave those droids on patrol in the Imperial Outpost and in the Coronet Starport. And we work hard to keep all the vendors well stocked, so when people some buy they are happy with what they see and will hopefully return. My sales were horrible, until we started doing this. I sell 3-5 droids a night now, without doing anything other than dropping the droid on patrol when I pass through one of the major starports.

Yep, it's time to raise the prices for storage droids. My in game explanation will be something about not wanting to anger the Empire, but in reality they've just been selling faster lately and I'm sick of making them.

I still ultimately believe in charging what you can. When people are walking around with over a million credits and nothing to spend them on, they may as well spend them on your droids. I make some exceptions when I see low level players and you can tell they are casual players, and I also do a straight 50% off for guildmembers.

on a normal day I sell about 4 vehicles,3-5 droids, a few cases of batteries, and maybe a couple crates of BH droids. Though this past week was insane. I had like 1 or 2 sales a day, Thursday had 0 sales, and then from Saturday 8pm through Sunday noon, I sold 30 droids and dozen vehicles. Strangest thing ive seen. Irritated me too because im grinding armorsmith and had to stop to restock my vendor.

though i think part of the problem seems to be the **edit** vending server crashing. i know a few times this week i couldnt stock it, so im sure customers couldnt get to it at times.

A BLL chassis for 25K ?

On Ahazi, chassis go for about 50-70% of the finished droid price. I tend to sell mine in quantity to good clients for 12k a pop.

Wow, I never actually put any of these BLL chassis up for sale, but 12K would be too low IMHO. These are harder to make than the R3's are and require that goofy Duranium steel I can never find.

I made 7 with the meager Duranium I had and think I will hold on to them until the low level combat droid goes into effect. Maybe they will be worth making then.

Hey TK, can i be a good customer? Id love to resell them or use them for that matter without throwing my production schedule out of whack.

Also, on the antedotal evidence of players will pay anything you ask them to.

This morning with the patch, I was flooded with requests for droid storage compartments and i really didnt want to get into it right now. So i flipped my title to armorsmith. But I i decided to try the new 6k bazaar cap and try an experiment. So i made up 10 of them, and put them up on the bazaar for 6k each. mind you, 23 aluminum per item selling for 6k, and to make things interesting no experimenting. in under an hour all of them sold.

lol...here's my highly sophisticated system:

1. I find out total resources and charge 10cpu. If it feels too high or too low, I adjust.

2. Notify customer of price.

3.Get paid.

Seems chaotic, but it works. My last sale was 2 R2's (not ADV) with Item Storage mods for 19k. I thought that was pretty good money. I don't know. Not here to get rich, just run a successful business.

Peace!

I charge based solely on chasis. Upper end for me is 75k for an advanced r3 and most of my other droids are in the 40-50k for the advanceds or 30-40k for the normals. Since I charge by chasis only, everyone orders a fully stocked(all module slots taken) droid(or I inform them that they probly want the other modules since theres no additional charge). This has quickly given me a reputation of making the "best" droids on the server(though with the lack of experimentation results chaning anything in thefinal productfor the most part, this doesnt mean much at the moment hehe). I dont have to sell a ton....I do custom orders only and by the end of a day I've usually made 2 or 3 droids for people and its more than enough to cover my living standards and leaves plenty of free time to train whatever I want.

The most important thing for you to factor into your pricing scheme is the value of the resources that you use. Most of the resources that I'm currently using to make droids would sell for 10 CPU straight up as a resource, so it makes no sense for me to sell the droid for less than that. In reality, I should be charging more in order to cover my time and effort as well.

no, id say the most important factor is time. What do you think your time is worth to spend20 minsmaking a droid, or the hours of preparation to get the factory parts/droids. If you were an elite combat profession, how much would you make an hour running missions?

Ok, so who changed prices and whats your argument now for changing them?

I have to admit, I didn't think the cluster exploit being removed would hit me so badly .. suddenly I've found myself desperately low on lidium extrusive ore

I admit that I am considering raising atleast another 5k on my prices now that the need for rare resources has increased for us 10 fold.

By the way, really love the guy that 2-starred an active descussion ... lmao

TK ... the real question is, did I ever leave?

We've been told the combat droids will, and even then I don't trust much until I see it hit TC.
