Thread: Droid and Droid Engineer Guide by Yak, big update version 2!
And to add to that...how about me, a noob who worked my way to novice DE only to have someone come up to me out of the blue and say " I feel sorry for you" and I ask " why?" and they say " because DE is so screwed up !! that they gave up and created a new character". What do I do? Hang in? or start over?
JediYak: Whats kewl and about to come down the pipe? I been out of game for a while due too boredum with the DE and game play as a whole.

What is coming? I'm really interested. I ask because I am currently a novice DE with little experience. I'm goind to hang, but it would be a lot easier if we had some good news. Secondly, what is a good price list from the start? Or should I just wiat until I get master before I start selling? Any help would be appreciated.

Great post. I'm finding it very helpful. I did notice one thing. This statement in the guide:
"Because of the costs to re-deed a personal harvester, it's usually cheaper to just make a new one and destroy the current one when a resource runs out."
Is not correct. The cost to redeed the harvester is a static cost that you only have to pay once. Its not really a cost at all because when you re-place the harvester later, you get the"redeed expense"returned to youbecause it's still in the harvester's maintanence pool. Even if you think of it as a cost, its still cheaper to redeed it because its a one time cost. Effectively, if when you first build the harvester, you put the extra maintainence required to redeed in the maintainence pool, and then you never let the maintanence go below the amount required to redeed, then you never have to pay that "redeed cost" again. And if at any time in the future you let that harvester run to zero maintanence, you'll end up getting the entire cost back and won't have actually payed any "redeed cost" at all. Unless, I'm missing something.
In the long run, redeeding the harvester is a lot cheeper than rebuilding a new one every time. Then again, rebuilding new ones is one of the best ways to get XP as you approach master artisan anyway,so you're probably going to build a new one either way.
