Great Guide! I have one question, not being a droid engineer. I bought a surgical droid thinking that I could stick it in my house, and leave it there. Is that currently possible?

Awesome guide... of which I am pleased to say I "borrow" off to articulate my guide (for my PA and friends)

It's very sad that so many people become creature handlers (including myself) because combat droids are so useless. Perma-death for droid is really a joke.

However having said that, I had a nice Adv.R2 with armor VI, medical VI, food/chem VI and repair modules made by Issac of Scylla.... and it's the best thing since sliced bread!

I'm so happy with the changes that removed droid permadeath!

I took 1 Adv Probot with full armor and a Level 14 pet to Lok and was able to fight for about 1 hour before we all were too beat-up to continue.

Much, much better now! And, sales for Adv Probots are skyrocketting!! I might need a second factory just to make advbrains.

Glaring Error:

"Bounty Hunter Probe Droid (Requires Blueprints 2, 172 resources)
Bounty Hunter Seeker Droid (Requires Blueprints 3, 173 resources)

Probe droids are available at Blueprints 3, not 2. Seekers are available before that, whether it's at Blueprints 1 or 2, I cannot remember.

BTW, I'm an angry DE. Angry at SOE, angry at the devs, angry at beta ending prematurely and just plain angry that the potentially best profession in the game has to suck so much royal ass while it's many major sprains are fixed.

JediYak, great guide as always.

Feel like a job at SOE, because you do a better job at keeping us up to date then the DEVS ever have!

SOE listen up, give this man a job and for Christ sake listen to your DE's AND ACT ON IT!!!

I too am upset all the seekers i have in stock do not have charges and will now be giveaways to encoarage buyers. the droid armour is still broken and dose not funtion as it is suposse to. it is suposse to remove 50% per level of armour rateing and the resist. yet it currently only removes the 40% resist.

No offense meant, but is there a version 3 of this, because there seems to be more than a few discrepancies between the current patch status and this guide. Again, no offense meant.

Yep, I should have a V3 out soon.

I should probably have a patch update in it as well.

Anyone else have any other DE-guide /bug submissions?

Yes. I would like to see a little further explanation of your pricing formula. Perhaps the price guide needs an update as well.

Thank.

Great Post, though its sad that theres only like 3 things I saw that had been fixed on the list that was generated August 8th. Obviously fixing droid enginners isnt on the devs mind right now. HAving said that I want to disagree that Probots should be made hugely powerfull. They should be about as powerfull as a level 15 creature. Thats because, like level 15 creatures the are controllable by anyone, without any special certifacation. If it was up to me, Droids would hit less hard than creatures but be much eaiser to repair quickly. Fix the repair tool and make it reapir a probot fully but only after the combat timer has expired (that 45 sec that you cannot store the droid after combat) After all its alot eaiser to fix your car than recover from major surgery.

Can you add some information about duplicating modules?

Like, what's the result of putting two armor modules, two medical modules, etc.

I put two lvl 3 armor modules resulting in medium armor 25% resist

I put two lvl 2 medic modules resulting in 75 medical rating

So it seems the formula for medic could be 45 +10*(sum of medic levels -1) so far

The formula I have seen so far works like this:

two level 3 item modules = 8 item storage
two level 4 item modules = 10 item storage the max.

So, more than likely, to get the maximum rating either make two level 4 modules or make one level 6 module. This, I believe goes for all modules, but I have only verified it on armor and item storage. It might also be possible to combine three level 2 modules, but that's just a wild guess.

I built an advanced R4 unit and put 3 medical modules II in it, final result was 100% medical rating. So guess lvl 5 module is 100? that would make the formula (sum of all module levels -1) (capped at 6)
