Words such as Medic, Doc, Jedi as well as any words that are considered offensive are not allowed by the naming filter. If the name can't make it past the standard character naming filter, then they won't make it past the droid naming filter. From the sounds of it, you are trying to name the droid something that won't make it past the filter.
