Thread: Our 10 experimentation points.
Well its good to hear that there fixing something in our profession.
Ok, I don't post much here, but I read the boards every day or so.
This is my .02 credits: How many of you would be complaining if they fixed it so experimentation counted BEFORE they gave us the experimentation points? Imagine they made experimentation count and you start making Probots with 700 HAM and 30-40 damage with only 5 experimentation points. Lets hope the make experimentation count the same time they give us the points.
One step at a time, let's just hope this step isn't backwards. ![]()
I would prefer it.. as then the 5 we have .. reguardless of 5 more .. would accually mean something
by dropping the carrot before the cart.. they have forgotten the donkey
who gives a rats arse about 5 or 50 more experimentaion points.. they are worthless trivial coding
they do not effect anything and can easily be adjusted by simply doubling the numer we get at each step..
so if they made the experimentaion points have an accually impact.. and neglected to give us 5 more... woot now I have a reason to use the best materials.. that I allready do.. and to experiment each peice the best I can.. and then .. in an even world with every other master.. my product.. even if it was lesser then what it is now ( example pre nerf probots.. post nerf , few people can grasp that the armor layers work well on a post nerf probot.. and it effectivly vs a non AP mob has 3 times the life.. )it would at least prove who has skill and pride, vs who pumps out GARBAGE...
screw the 5 more experimentaion points.. untill they mean something
my 2 credits worth

It's a good and necessary change....
But like others say, the big problems remain and will ever remain until we at least hear their ideas on how to fix them (which Sin must get the okay first to talk about). Until then, the hope is still at a minimal.
At least someone is looking at us.
But I think it will actually make things better for us. Why? Well look at the risk bar when crafting a DE part and you drop 5 experimentation points on it. Now do the same for a MA part (assuming you have MA). I believe less risk = fewer failuers.
As far as experimentation doing nothing for droids, how do you know? Seen the code? Does it say so in the doc? hehe Before you start flaming consider these possible effects of experimentation. Battery consumption rate, HAM regen rate, vitality drop rate and crafting station effectiveness. My point is there are very few people in the world that know how or even if experimentation does anything for droids.
umm hate to burst the BUBBLE but.. 5 more experimentaion points.. who cares.. for our current build.. this means just about nothing
Your dead on, Gveedo. ***** From Craft.

We live the code. We have built hundreds of droids with hundreds of different quality materials since launch. Even if we have not documented every build we have ever made, we can see the results over time.
I agree tho. At least someone is looking at the profession.
