Sorry about the previous post, seems the forums don't like me much.

Ok I'm not a droid engineer but I think this is the best place to post this. I bought a droid about a week after the game opened. It died after the patch a week or so ago. I am not happy. Didn't C3PO get torn limb from limb and get put back together. R2D2 got blaster by a Tie Figher and lived. I will miss my droid. I did go out and bought a new one. It died too. I will not buy any more droids.

Well don't blame the Droid Engineers for the problems. The developers in Their Infinite Wisdom decided that droids should be destroyed when incapacitated. In all honesty, it seems like a decent idea, at the first glace: a bit more 'realistic' in implemenation than it just being disabled for half a minute, plus an increase in demand for all sorts of droids as they get destroyed while in use.

Unfortunately, they failed to consider (or perhaps just failed to see the magnitude of it) that people would completely stop buying droids because of the fact that they will die soon after bought -- with alll of their money being wasted. When most droids have around 50 HAM, how can one expect that they last even more than one round of combat? Even with level 6 armor I seriously doubt most would last more than one or two.

Fortunately, in the upcoming patch there will be a 'fix' (and mind you, the only Droid Engineer change in this patch, supposedly) in which droids will be treates as creatures when incapacitated: they will be simply disabled for a time and heavily wounded. This should help, but definately falls short of fixing the entire profession (as one can easily see by just looking at the centralized list of issues).

Tested data and item storage in repair, repair adv, surgical, surgical adv. They both worked in repair and repair adv. They did not work in surgical and surgical adv. Not at all.

I put personality chips in all of them as well, and the personality chips took hold if you tamed them, then stored them and let them sit for a min or two, then called it again.

This is great that you keep this sort of thing updated. Now the devs have no excuse not to address these issues.
