Id like to see an IG type assassin droid(no not IG-88 just a type of IG), I like the super battle droid and sorta like the regular battle droid, either way I think both those are a must, droideka are a must to put in as well. The spider type droids look cool but doubt they will let us haven anything that big...

Lots of stuff doesnt follow continuity, now I know thats not a good excuse agianst the arguement that DEs shouldnt be allowed to make anything along the IG series, but none the less I vote let a type of assassin droid be made.

I really like the idea of battle droids:

An inexspencive easy to make combat companion that can do some damage, but can't take a lot of punishment (maybe 500 ham or so).

Also make them craftable by low-level DEs so that low-level DEs could have something to sell (they have nothing to sell atm IMO). These guys should be practically disposable. Think: these would be akin to a buffing potion in other games that give a boost to damage output)

People like the way battle droids look too. It is the skinny head that is endearing

Higher level DEs could make the tougher, more exspencive combat bots like droiddekas.

I agree with the above poster, battle droids were cannon fodder, effective in large masses, but weak individually, make thebattle droid a low lvl, cheap to produce droid. Droidekas for the Master DE's and improved battle droids for in between. Droidekas > than the improved battledroids. Additionally, the DE's would have to buy the guns for the Troopers and Droidekas from the Weaponsmiths, if they wanted anything more powerful than a CDEF and the personal shields from the Armorsmiths. This would follow the theme that we, the DE can make droids, but aren't inheriently able to make good weapons or armor past what welearned from our Eng. background. That also would incorporate the Dev's desire for interdepance (sp) among the different professions.

BTW. IG type droids are already in the game. One of the bounty hunter trainers is an IG type assassin droid. I think he is on naboo. In kadaara. I think. I got novice BH from him.

I can't help but think that Battle Droid creation would also make for great Faction Missions for Droid Engineers who get asked by the Empire or Rebels to help equip them with a "compliment" of Battle Droids?

I mean, aren't they the ones who would use them the most?
Someone has to make them for them. Why not the PC's?

I think it would be cool to look at a Faction terminal and see something like that.
"Great! I get to help the Rebels kick some buttocks with my (gods, don'tkill me for this) Elite Droid Making skills!"

Well, you get the idea, right?

since even protocol droids get one slot a holdout combat module would be nice, either like a bomb or just a basic self-defense module....in addition to adding a combat droid tree and all the known combat droids in the starwars expanded galaxies.

I want Battle Droids, and I want them to call me sir, and say roger, roger all the GD time, and salute. They should have cdef weapons, low or no armor, and u should be able to have like 5 of them out in formation at the same time.

Combat droids will be nice, especially if there are a number of different components to add (radar, tactics level, etc) and as long as there is a progressive line as the DE advances. I have no problem with them being disposable (either by their nature, like mini-suicide droids, or by low defenses) as long as they are affordable.

hello all,

im new to the droid engineering but for what i have seen its not the thing you would expect. Compared to creatures and such there ar like zero different droids we can build and none of them are really bad ass attack droids like droika;s. What is even more strange, droika's are in the game...but..we cannot make them.

think about that !

personally I'd like to see a bipedal combat droid model that works with a few new/modified modules. One would be a targetting computer that would determine it's accuracy. Another would be a tactics computer that would determine what sort of weapons it is 'trained' with, how well it uses them, and any skills it might have. The last is a free slot that is it's weapon, and this slot is just the droid's hands so it is always swappable.

So for example. I as a mid-level DE could make a tactics computer that gives it the skills and bonuses equivalent to Expert Pistol, sell it to a Rifleman who wants another target on his side out in the field, who can fire some coverfire and warning shot now and then. It would be up to him to buy, say, a Scout Blaster, put a nice powerup on it, and hand it to the droid.

Personally, I don't care if they make it an ATM machine on wheels as long as it has decent weapons and armor capability.

Of course, there AREplenty ofbetter ideas for body styles than an ATM machine on wheels.
