This post happens to be *exactly* why I'm not selling the new utility droids on vendors.

I can't tell you how many people bugged my friend (who I gave a working barker to) with /tells asking, "Why don't my spam droidz spam? I juz bought it from a vendor..."

The patch notes were not clear about the professional requirements of several of the droids - notably the stimpack and the merchant. The merchant module at least has a message in the schematic telling the DE that it needs Adv IV, but the stimpack module does not specify who can and cannot use it.

While in a way I sympathize with the uninformed original poster, his anger is directed at the wrong people. He needs to understand that not all DE's read these boards constantly either, and we get no more documentation than they do. I agree that there are some lazy DE's out there - I just laughed at and ignored a Master DE who walked up to me yesterday and said, "Why can't I find combat module in my schematics?" If you are a master anything and don't know how crafting stations work, you should be stripped of all crafting skill points - there's a crackdown for the Imperials to do.

The issue is that in many cases the Dev team has fallen into the "this is an MMO - it doesn't need proper documentation" pit of untruths.

We want the documentation as much as you do - the additions to the KB are good, but the interface/format/performance is lacking (out of the last 3 tries, two have gotten "stuck" searching for me).

What this game needs is comprehensive, offical documentation on the core systems and professions, and then let us figure out how they all work together. The excuse of "mystery" is given for not giving info, or "exploration", but that's not true - the fun comes from finding the connections between the systems, not having to make dozens of throw-away droids just to make an educated guess as to the intention of the Devs and the proper use of whatever is in question.

Like people have said, we do not have instruction manuals with these droids. And, you have the same opportunity to come here and read up just as we have.

Personally, I did not know how the Survey Droids worked. The only thing I knew is that they came in stacks similar to Seeker Droids and worked in the same manner. I had no idea about the necessity of survey tools.

The funny thing that I can say against your argument is that you must be at lease a Novice Artisan to use the survey Droids. Well, at Novice Artisan, you can build your own survey tools. I didn't have anyone complain to me about not offering survey tools.

I do agree with you, customer service has a lot to do with sales. And I do agree that if someone doesn't know something about a droid, they should not make it up.

But, as far as selling something we don't know how to use, well that happens all the time. My DE has no combat skills. So, I don't use combat droids. I don't know how to use them. I am not, nor never have been a BH, so I don't know how to use BH droids. Some DE are not merchants, so they would not know how to use the Merchant Barker Droid.

As time goes on, more droids will be added and I am sure there will besome type ofCert system for the upcoming combat droids. Well, many DE's will not be able to control those Combat Droids, so they too will be selling things they do not know how to use.

So, don't come here and complain about DE's. I had someone who used Combat Droids (during publish 7) buy a combat droid and complain because it was no better than his previous. I said, he bought it, he wanted it, it is not my fault it was not what he expected. I gave him 50% of the charge back in good faith. I don't agree that I was at fault however. I explained to him I wasn't sure what the stats would be. He went off of hope, and was disappointed when he realized it was not to his liking.

You try being on the sales side and answer 100% of the people's questions and complaints 100% correct 100% of the time. Trust me, you will never achieve those stats.

Please tell me you are joking. Like a guy who has driven tractors all his life. Imagine him one day getting on a brand new tractor that was never before made. He would not know the ins & outs of it very well either. He can only make an educated guess on how it might perform/operate.

One that you created no doubt. I meant we didn't get one from the DEVs, as someone had previously pointed out.

I did explain lightly how droids worked. I also told them I was not 100% sure, so don't hold me to it. But the modules and their way of being used is pretty logical. So, guessing at their way of use was not that difficult. I do have to say, the requirement of having a survey tool in your inventory did throw me for a loop. They should just have us attach those during assembly. I don't mind making multiple types of survey droids...NP...

Faymar,

First you need to view the screen shots before you post. Oroo said some things that is true but he also lied about a few things. I didn't come looking for trouble I came to buy droids and move on. Oroo was AFK but he did reply after12 or20 min and he was concern about my anger but what pissed me off is when he tried to twist it as a user issue-fact is thats why /telled the guy to get instruction on how to use the droid but I was hot because there was another customer having problems also inOroo house with another product that had me thinking this guy is a crook that's my initial thought. When I first purchase these droids I emailed him in excitement to make me up case of droids, so I am not trying to head hunt this guy for no reason. Why would I lie if I'm spending my credits and asking for more products. Thats absurd. The proof is in the screen shot. The proof is in the screed shot. The proof is in the screen shot.

Before you post a reply read the complete thread and view the screen shot please. Dev you need to getyour act together and get Documents in holo FAQS and better train CSR who don't have a freakin clue again PROOF IS IN THE SCREEEN SHOT!

Thanks I accept,
like I said on another board I hope from this you become the best droid engineer and merchant on corbantis server-unlike others you had fully stock vender and a nice home. That's what we need on corbantis server more good Artisan that keeps well stock venders andready to give good customer service. Thanks Oroo.

Now I need to calm Thrawn & Veer down over this matter those two can get really **edit** over us little Impies. I can't stop RPing.

hi i would like to let this be iam apologizing for losing my temper, as a seller i shouldn't get upset no matter the situation. plz accept it.

next item all my tells to u were truefull the afk msg told u exactly wut it did survey's planets but gives no stats and concentrations. thats wut ur screen shot says i didn't lie. next i forwarded u a copy of the report to show u it works, u showed that also how his that a lie? i am guilty of questioning u on actually talking to a csr u have proof and i apologize for that as well, but all that show's is that the csr's really don't know wut they are talking about lol. as per ur advice i did ad a msg on my vendor stating how to use the droids. ur screen pics showed everybody for me that i wasn't lying and they also proved me wrong on the csr issue.

fyi the reason i was afk in the early afternoon is that i had a econ exam, i spent all morning making the new droids when i should prolly been reveiwing
