Loadlifters are a pain to make. If the DE didn't have the parts to make one, it would take a couple days just to make one. It's just not that they need 750 units of 3 different types of steel, all the parts MUST be made in a factory, and be identica!!! I think it's about 20 factory parts, plus all the chips must me identical factory made.

Hehe, hey Ackis. Yeah, I want to buy one, just to have one, but I wanted to see if your prices were comparable to what everyone else is asking. Seems to be the case. I guess I need to save up then.

I sell the normal Binary Load Lifter for 60K. Sold two so far. I do not bother making the advanced, not worth it.

"I asked him if you could use a binary load lifter to attack. He said you can, but they always run away"

WRONG! Sorry... the DZ-70 and Probot are the ONLY droids which will particiapte in combat. If someone is saying you can use one to attack they are mistaken. In fact, you can sometimes find a pack of targetable Binary Load Lifters in the wild and attack them. They do NOT fight back and make for easy kills. However, they give NO experience nor loot.

Strange that none of the other respondents to this thread pointed this out.

I made a bunch of suggestions for making not only Binary load lifters, but other droids actually useful. It's sad that the only droids you're really selling are the probot and seekers, with the occasional crafting station droid.

Binary Load Lifters - Give these guys the biggest and best cargo compartments. Then reduce the maximum stack size of resources to 1,000 making the additional storage space critical to transporting large quantities of resources around.

Protocol Droids - Make languages meaningful by having them cost skill points to train. This way, everyone won't learn every language the first time they get someone to train them and languages will actually have an some meaning. Then as a work-around, give Protocol Droids the unique ability to translate. The way this would work is Protocol droids can be programmed with the Translate command. When you issue this command they repeat everything your look-at target at the time says in Basic (since everyone understands Basic) like this: "<targets name> says, yadda yadda yadda." Since this has a potential to grief annoyingly, make it so the droid will refuse to translate someone who has you on their ignore list.

2-1B Medical Droids - These guys could be a lot more useful if they were the only droid that could impart medical skill bonuses or house a food and chem station. It would also be nice to make their presence a requirement for some doctor skills, like the use of buffs.

Astromech Droids and LE Repair droids - okay, these guys have to wait for the Space Expansion to get their day in the sun, but basically the same deal as the 2-1B. Maybe the LE could also work for weapon and armor smiths in the mean time.

Power-Droids - Same concept as Binary Load Lifters, except they work exclusively with energy, working as storehouses for energy.

Jabetha, if you can come down off your extrordinarily high horse and open your eyes a bit, then you'll realise what he said. Yes, you can tell the BLL to attack and it will engage... as long as you count running away as engaging.

But I'm not exactly sure what everyone is smoking. It took me little over an hour to russle up the parts for my "Walking Billboard" BLL. The minerals aren't really a problem (I think it came up to something like 1750 or 2000 steel, which is only 6k reasonable price on most markets). The only trick is the 8 factory-required pieces. But even though there is eight there are only two types, and once you put a factory down (or get a good mate with a factory to whip them up for you) then it's a simple process of waiting. Took me just over an hour to complete my BLL and quite frankly I love it. It's generated such good business with the name "Email-Woodrow-For-Droids" and wandering about the city. A reccommended necessity for any high level DE selling his wares.

"Yes, you can tell the BLL to attack and it will engage... as long as you count running away as engaging."

Sorry... still WRONG. Such a shame to see people give bad information here. The ATTACK command does not even show up on the radial menu for a BLL. Also, if you select a target and tell your BLL to attack, it will not become 'engaged' in combat. Do this, pull out your BLL and try to get it killed... impossible.

And yes, I can understand that price tag on the load lifter. I wouldn't charge much less for one either.

6 advanced droid motive systems from a factory crate (which demand pre-made parts)
2 manipulator arms from a factory crate

And... hmmm... thousands of other resources. Among them large chunks of duralloy and duranium steel.

I was talking to a master droid engineer, and I asked him if you could use a binary load lifter to attack. He said you can, but they always run away. So I asked him what you use a lifter for, and he said there is no use. Well, since I thought it would be cool to own a lifter, I asked him how much it costs for one. His asking price? 200,000 for standard and 300,000 for Advanced! So, you want that much money for a droid that does nothing? I understand they are complicated and expensive, but they can't be worth that much. Especially since they only have 50 attack and 1200 HAM, with 40%resist and medium armor. You're selling probots with nearly the same stats but only cost 17k. So, I wanted to ask other DE's how much they are charging for load lifters and if they think this guys price is reasonable. Thanks.

Wow... a post talking about me. I was this DE... and I've sold 2 BLL's before, and 2 BLL chassis. On Wanderhome, I've been told numerous times that my prices are the cheapest on the server. When someone wants to buy a BLL, I tell them that they're useless now, and won't be fixed in the near future. I then tell them that it's hilarious watching them run away from a fight.

On a side note, I think it's strange that a BLL that has more ham, same damage and same armor as a probot has a lower challenge (I think that's what it's called) level than a probot.

It has a default attack command in it. As for getting your BLL killed, that's impossible. Droid perma death is gone remember?

When I'm bored I have my BLL attack squalls and chubas... it's hilarious watching them run away!
