Thread: Droid Assembly Skill Tapes
I believe I advertize fairly well. I shout nice messages explaining what I can do. I keep my profession listed for my title. I usually have a droid of various types following me with some kind of advertizement. I have my droids patrol infront of major starports. I search for BH and offer my services politely. I search for medics/docs/combat meds and offer med drods. I search for the combat classes offering probots (albiet with slightly lesser armor that I make a note of letting them know). I had a vendor up for a long while on the Tusken route with my sign clearly labled, but the maintenance on the vendor was sadly more than I ended up making from sales, so I took it down. About the only thing I haven't done is put an item for sale with my advertizement, or worked up the merchant tree (for which I have no free SP).
From those I do end up dealing with, I am very polite and kind. I explain what I can do, and how it would help their situation. I either make the sale, or they ask for something I cannot provide. In those cases (and there are many of them), I tell them that I am working my way up in ability, and to keep me in mind. I usually refer them to one of the MDE's that I know and appologize for not having what they are looking for.
So far, my only way I've had to make money is by traveling to Dantooine and joining with a CH buddy on high-paying missions. But I don't always have time for that because I'm so desperately trying to keep up my grinding, as well as working hard to keep my business above water. But the only thing still fueling my business is those non-DE related trips to Dant for funding.
The problemmay not fully be the power gamers, but all of the people (mostly power gamers) that want the best of everything that I simply can't provide at the moment. If I had a spare 500k to buy the rest of the materials I need to grind, I may be in business. Until then, however, I am making no money off of my creations.
I can't wait until A) I master DE, and B) the new patch happens some day and I'll have access to the new stuff people would want to buy.

It's worth 100k to me for 2 weeks of reduced crit failures. If it saves me 5 failures during that time (which it will easily do if it reduces my crit failures by even 10%) then it will have paid for itself. Besides, 100k isn't really all that much money anymore what with the game's economy suffering from hyper-inflation.
Anyone know the answer to this....
Is there a cap per species for experimentation boxes? For example 110 pts. or 11 boxes for Humans vs. 120 pt s or 12 boxes for Zabraks?

I believe the cap is +25, but I don't know whether or not that includes any racial bonuses like the +10 that Humans get.

Kollos, are you on Intrepid server? Can't tell by the sig; you should put server name on there. How come you're not on my DE list if you are? Let me know if you want me to add you to the IDEA list.

It's not DEs driving up the prices, its the sellers looking at what the Rich folk pay for similiar tapes...Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths shouting about paying MILLIONS per tape.

Hahaha... no I'm just not paying attention. Seeing you at the Ahazi DE meeting threw me off and made me think you guys were on Ahazi.
(Server name is on the left in the player information, btw, so no need to add it to the sig.)
So far forum search hasn't helped, does anyone Know the caps per race and how many experiement/assembly boxes can be added?
Sorry Sodan I'm keeping it after all, did research on the AS boards, max up to +25, can stack the tapes on different articles of clothing and stacks with racial bonus. ** If the AS know what they are talking about..looking at some of there armor..maybe they do. Back to paying an arm and a droid for more tapes.
