Drashk, no worries there. Never played D6, but the group I'm with for the D20 did before moving over.

I've got another 4 books I can start pulling quotes from if I have to. Ellewans tireless whining was good for one thing - I actually bothered to get the appropriate quotes to prove the point that he/she doesn't have a clue about droid capabilities. I still have the Arms and Equipment guide (another 40 or so pages of droids there with all sorts of combat modifications to every chassis type), Rebellion Era Source Book, Coruscant and the Core Worlds at least that I can pull more quotes from if I have to.

The Arms and Equipment guide is a great source of droid info, that I wish I had. However, if you ever get the chance, take a look at Cynabar's Fantastic Technology - Droids from WEG. There is a Protocol droid in chapter 3 that is holding a Sniper rifle with a rather sinister look on its face.

Making SWG more Star Warsy. One droid at a time.

Look, if done properly a combat module could be a good thing for the profession. It is in line with the Expanded Universe for a custom built droid to be able to have a small bit of weaponry on it (And by small I mean that the best weapons module should be equicalent to a CDEF Pistol) of course they're not supposed to be able to do any significant amount of damage when compared to a marksman with a rifle etc.

Also, Droid Engineers are supposed to be able to build droids to their specifications. I wonder how many of the people who object to "Protocol droids with guns" would object to something along the lines of "A very low end combat droid build around a 3PO frame" The frame isn't supposed to be the be all and end all of the droid, mainly it should be the looks and how much that droid can actually support

How many of the people complaining have played a proper Star Wars RPG anyway?

Unofficially, I'll say whatever I darn well please in order to stand up against damaging 'content.'

To bad your not smart enough to realize that 3PO with a blaster in his hand IS damaging content. Sorry but Im convinced that your only concern is your political standing in your little circle of friends. You do NOT speak for DEs, you speak for you.
