I'm pretty sure that you can tell your probot to attack from beyond the range of your gun. As soon as you can target the enemy, tell your probot to attack, and he'll run over there and attack it. Then you can close the distance and start shooting. You'll take zero damage, and the probot tanks pretty well, with level 4 armor.

With multiple agros I think it is best to use the follow target command to send the droid in close. MUCH closer that you are. Once it is there tell it to attack just as you start. I always like to make sure the droid starts attacking first. Also don't group with it. Probots won't kill much, but they can give you ample time to kill hard agros from a distance. I keep two and swap after one gets too much damage.

3PO droids make great rushers.... just tell them to attack something in the *opposite* direction you want them to run.

kinda strange.. after the CH changes, droids will count against my pet limit... so.. if i have a jedi.. and want a probot and a cowardly gurrek... (well.. more like a bearded jax cause of the cl 10 cap comign)... i'd be better off just using a prepatched probot and feeding it batteries... how lame.

Whenever I call out my probot, I see a message spammed on my screen saying something like "your droid's customizations are completely gone," or something like that. What does that mean? Is it bad? If so, how can I fix it?

It's to do witht he droids color customisation. You can get DE to color it for you to remove the message for now (it will come back again later). It doesn't however affect the performance of your droid, so I would just ignore - and probot colors aren't that great.
