Little confused by your statements on the surgical testing et al. Are you saying that you are about to test them, or that you have and there are no changes?

For the BLL issues, I think 3 and 6 modules would be find for the BLL basic and advanced. However, the thing I would really like to see is a different item storage cap on the BLL to 30 or so. A lot of people are buying crates of MSEs with item 6 modules in them right now for the extra storage space. Given the complexity, and thus cost, of a BLL not everyone is going to toss their 3K mouse droids away to replace them with 45K BLLs just to get the extra storage space. Sure a few rich players will, but I doubt most will, based on cost alone.

Minor items to report are that the Vehicle customization tool is almost an exact duplicate of the Droid Customization tool. The only difference is that they require 2 additional units of resources. This means that there is another item that requires a Droid Storage Compartment and with the changes to their experimenation, Master DE will be the ones to produce the best results. The Customization tool is only usable and craftable by a Master Artisan, from what I have seen. The tool will customize a vehicle in the same manner as you would a droid and even has a Customization lifespan of 20 calls, which is the casefor both Vehicle and Droid,

Arrgh... tab doesn't work in this thing right... Anyhow...

Drashk -

Couple of quick questions -
1)Is the droid "pick a random color when called" bug fixed?

2) Are vehicles colorable nowwhen you're constructing them?

3) About the vehicle customiaztion only lasting 20 calls, any chance of raising an issue with this? I know it's not exactly a your job, being the DE guy and all, but the length of customizations end up impacting us as well. I think thatcustomization lasting 20 callsis a rather huge pet peeve of mine, and an annoyancefor most of my customers in the droid arena. Making the same mistake with vehicles is going to make it such that people don't even bother to have them colored. I probably call my vehicle8-10 times a day easily due to travel and auto-store bugs, and that's just for harvester runs. Having to get a vehicle repainted every few days makes vehicle customization seem like more of a "perk" (and I use that term loosely) for Master Artisans, than something for the general populace.

Thanks for the valuable update Drashk

I totally agree with the BLL not having enought space with just one module (and none for the base model ) However, rather than making an exeption to the rule for BLLs regarding item storage caps, I would like to see a certain number of starage spaces come free with the BLLs. Perhapse 20 spaces in both models, with the adv. version having one extra module that can be use for anything, including extra space. This would fit well with the oft proposed idea of having truely specialized chassis, like LERepair, Surgical...

  • Added general module slot to the advanced Binary Load lifter droid, and both basic and advanced protocol droids. Well this 'fix' is a royal disappointmen in my book currently. The Basic BLL still has 0 module slots and the Advanced BLL and Basic Protocol droid currently only have 1.I've already posted my thoughts on the Bug thread on TC and will be making a post on the Correspondents forum. I'm going to raise a lot of hell over this issue. The Advanced BLL should have 6 modules sockets due to its size and location on the DE tree. The Basic BLL should have 3 module sockets as well.I'm going to push as hard as I can to get this one changed before it hits Live.

I disagree that BLLs need lots of modules to be cool. People like them for their size. They should have at least 2-4 modules though, and I agree that they should have more storage capacilty than other droids.

  • Droid storage compartments are now using droid experimentation rather than artisan. This may not have been a major issue, but at least it was fixed

This doesn't hurt me any, but I feel sorry for the low-level (non-holo) DEs who have now lost a potential money-making product. I remember when I first hit DE my architect friend needed some high-quality DSCs for his crafting stations. He provided all the materials and I (as Master Artisan) tweaked them up to 98% effectiveness. As a growing DE with Novice Architect, I could make and sell very good crafting stations for lots of money (because crafting stations used Artisan Experimentation, not architect), when nobody wanted my droids. I think they could have left that product as it was, as an opportunity for low-level DEs. But I can also see the arguments for making all of our products use our experimentation.

I've tested out many of the bugs so far, including Repair module tests in all Humanoid droids and the Power Droids as well asItem Storage in the Surgical Droids. All of the droid naming issues are still present. The only bug that I have yet to find repeat itself, that was not listed as fixed, was the Droid/pet multi-call but that allowed you to call more than one droid by traveling x amount of meters.

Are the repair module and surgical storage issues fixed? Your paragraph is a bit confusing about that.

So, let me get this straight: To advance my character, I have to give up my current abilities?

Ackis I disagree with you about the Archs getting hurt over the experimantation, of storage comparments. We have proved that it does not matter on the components. Therefore it should not matter for there Crafting stations

It matters on Arch products... we can experiment on them but it doesn't matter for us. only for the Architects

Does experimenting seem to do anything yet? Maybe with the combat modules? It still borks me that experimentation does absolutely nothing in the droid skill tree.

experimentation actually does work on the item storage, data storage, and medical modules.

it takes two level 4 modules to get the maximum for each modules functionality (or one level 6).

but you can also get maximum functionality with two level 3's if you successfully experiment on both of them.

But once I reached the ability to make level 4's I found there was no longer any need to experiment on them.

Sorry folks, I shouldn't have used the phrase 'The Advanced BLL should have '. I was trying to suggest that both versions of the BLL need to be rethought out and maybe given more module slots. I was just rather irked this morning, at 3 am PST, about the whole 1 freakin module slot in an Advanced BLL. Now that I have slept on it I can say that....I'm still pretty freakin irked about it. Enough said on that matter.

To clarify about the Repair Modules and Surgical Droids - Both bugs are still present. I'm trying to get information about the status of both bugs as well as a little forgotten topic of re-naming the 'Tame' option that was brought up last Publish.

The 'Droid of a Different Color' issue is still present

Vehicles can not be customized during the build phase.

Experimenation still appears to be borkedand the Mechanism Rating doesn't show signs of change

I can't take screenshots for some reason, but I'll give a Probot to anyone that is willing to post a few screenshots for the community to look at.

Thats all for now.

Great report, Drashk. Thank you.

Apart from the cluster module fixes, it looks like a whole lot of bulsh*t to me. I love than MSE Adv has more modules than BLL advanced! I think that shows the level of attention to detail we're getting. Goes hand in hand with the straight-from-the-devs's-crapper Master Droid Master profession that was also shatt upon us. Baby wipe, anyone?

About not being able to take screenshots. Try and move the screenshots in the game directory to another directory... it tends to get filled up.
