Thread: Droids Going Rates
It'll happen early on in the game while everyone is clueless as to what is needed by the other professions to make things. As soon as sites start popping up with all the stats for crafting, it'll be a lot harder to do.
Generally, I ask for roughly double the resources required if I'm not receiving any money. And take payment from what is leftover. I say double, since that allows for failures, and such failures come out of my profit instead of my customer's. And I tell them up front that this is what I'm doing.
Pissing off your customers is not good for business. Especially since droids are still a novelty at best and we have no other real source of income.
I would assume that the reason droids are good for having crafting stations is becuase they are mobile.
Why would you need a mobile crafting station?
Out of Powerups? Can only make good powerups at a station.
Out of Medical Supplies? Can only make good medical supplies at a station.
Out of that uber powerup food? Can only make super food at a station.
Experimentation in the field... this is the advantage I see.
Are there any other requirements to using the stations on a droid?
My droids?
Well I don'tstock MSE's, DZ70's or treadwells, unless custom ordered.
ADV Surgical - fully loaded - 20k
Adv Le repair - Fully Loaded - 20k
R2 fully loaded - 30k
R3 fully loaded - 40k
BLL - 50k
Probot - 20k
Adv Probot Fully loaded - 35k
Adv Protocolfully loaded - 40k
Seekers - 5k per crate
Probe Droids - 10k per crate
Power droids - 50k
These seem to be close or on the mark with other DE's I have seen on Scylla, and those here on the boards. Anyone have more success with higher prices over the long haul? I am thinking of raising prices now that the 'Droid Invasion' is coming.
How many Seekers and probe droids do you put in your crates?
I have problems selling Seeker droids to the BHs I know because they'll bargin shop and stock up on them. The last riduculous price I was told they found was 3k for a case of 10.
Erom
I dont even sell mse droids.. I sell adv. DZ-70 with Medical and Food/chem crafting and armor very well.. 9.7 k each. I sell adv. Probots starting at about 18k upwards to 25~26k.. seekers by the crate 7500 and probe by the crate 12.5k..
I mastered DE and gave it up cus it sucked but when i was a DE, all that sold was medical droids and BH droids.
I sold single seekers for 2k and single probe droids for 3k. They sold well.
My medical droids were LE repair advanced model ( i had no factory) with 110% medic/personality chip of choice and then item or data storage.
Sold alot of these for 30k.

Please cut and paste and give what you believe is the going rate on these. Then what extra you would charge for the optional modules:
- Crafting Modules
- Medical Modules
- Storage Modules
- Data Modules
Bloodrunner, Lok-N-Load, Naritus Galaxy
R2 Adv.- 5 lvl 6 modules or crafting stations and 2 lvl 4 armor -75k
R3 Adv.- 5 lvl 6 modules or crafting stations and 2 lvl 4 armor -100k
ProbotAdv.-2 lvl 6 modules or crafting stations and 2 lvl 4 armor -60k
MSE - 1 lvl 6 module or crafting station and1 lvl3 armor -15k
MSE Adv.-2 lvl6 modules or crafting stations and1 lvl4 armor -30k
Protocol Adv.-2 lvl6 modules or crafting stations,1 lvl4 armor, and personality chip-45k
Surgical Adv.-3 lvl6 modules or crafting stations,1 lvl4 armor, and personality chip-55k
I think the lvl 6 modules are worth about 10k each.
Crafting stations depending on resources used are worth about 5k.
Armor 5k - 20k (Finding cheap composite segments isn't totally trivial.)
MSE droid starts at 5k + 10k for lvl 6 module thus 15k (Craft droids about 10k)
MSE adv. starts at 10k + 20k for two modules.
Protocol and Surgical droids have a coolness factor and use a personality chip thus 15k over the MSE.
Probot has 2 modulesplus the ability to fight and requires 2 lvl 4 armor pieces. It is on par with the humanoid droids but the combat abilty is a plus.
R2 - uber cool droid! the biggest seller hands down! 5 modules, armor, and its your own R2! 50k for the modules + 10k for the armor + 15k for the droid...
R3 - personally i think it looks way cooler than R2 but...6 modules, armor, and an R2 with a see through dome... you might be asking why the jump in price over the R2... can you say identical adv. droid brains... This is the only droid that has to have a factory to be made! (If you buy your electronics from someone else.)
I have been a Master DE for only a few short days and I have sold 3 R2s, 5 MSEs, a Probot, and a Surgical Droid. I alsosold anR2 floor model and a protocol floor model. I have orders for 8 surgical droids and 3 more R2s... My only problem is electronic modules...
Now my prices might be a bit too high for some people and that is fine, i will barter or allow credit. One thing is DEs haven't gotten any love since launch, so they sell their products way below cost... This is hurting everyone... Droids are valuable... and ignoring the combat droids coming soon, droids provide services of hospitals, banks, and personal crafting stations. An architect isn't going to sell a BER 10mineral extractorfor 5k... you shouldn't sell your R3 for 5k.
Droid prices vary enormously. Best advice I can give is to sell them for what you can afford to sell them for and then add a bit more. Whilst I was grinding to get to MDE, I tended to sell a lot cheaper than I do do now that I am a MDE because any amount of cash was useful. Price depends upon the usefulness of the droid rather than the unit cost for example I will make an R2 with any 3 modules and no armor for 12K. If they ask for another model with 3 units the price is still 12K- with the exception of the BLL which I refuse to make.
